And you know, the thing I noticed with these interviews is that it’s definitely really easy to talk to Kris about music because he’s so into it. When he talks about what went into the music, he goes into what he likes like chord structure, talks about how he writes the melody first and starts with gibberish…these are all really interesting things that I never knew about the songwriting process, since I’ve never followed an artist this closely before. I’m glad that Slezak and Jim, while having fun interviews with Kris, get to the down and dirty and get him to spill the beans on stuff other interviewers aren’t asking.

Also, I just wanted to say there are a number of ways for Kris fans to help get the word out on his music. If you make mix CDs for friends, throw in a couple of Kris songs in there; that way it’s not too in-your-face as buying them his record, but at the same time you’re introducing his music to people who might not be following him. Also, if you’re good at making videos, you can make videos of your fave TV shows (like Grey’s Anatomy, for instance) and use Kris’s songs as background. A lot of people go on Youtube to look at clips from their favorite shows and if a song catches their attention they will buy it or download it or whatever. It’s good promo. But more importantly, keep requesting! The more spins Kris gets, the more radio will be more comfortable in getting his music out there. Keep it up, guys!

Kris’ next album should be called The Hamble!

I’m still bummed the first one wasn’t called K-Sizzle.

The Friday HDD sales projection numbers were just posted in headlines’ ¦Kris’ didn’t change. Still 85K-90K. Bummer. It’s a good album, people’“buy it!

OK, lurkers from Arkansas mobilise and have everyone buy the album. You’ve been effective before, Kris needs you.

How can Kris be so darn goodlooking and so darn hamble at the same time. I just loved this interview so much.

LOL ilka39, perhaps you have coined a new phrase for Kris! He’s a humble ham = hamble. I know it was a typo, but made me chuckle.

TwigLA, I agree! Let’s hope JIVE sends copies to all movie and tv studio execs! Keeping fingers crossed for Kris. If his cd sales don’t do it, then maybe exposure in other outlets will do it for him (tv/movie would pay to use the song–yes? or would that work like the radio payola stuff? Anybody know?).

24 year old goodlooking singer with heavenly voice who can play guitar, piano and others. Can sing with the band and / or play & sing in acoustic setting. Can write his own songs and an all around good guy.

I’m the kind of person that always wants to solve things by going to the source and last night I was thinking how can I convince Jive of the true gem they have on their hands (LOL, as if I could). However, hopefully they will realize this! Oh that voice! So smooth and beautiful to listen to, and then when we add everything else on top of that, there is no doubt they have a winner!

Even his biggest detractors (LA Times review) can’t deny the awesomeness of some of the songs on this album. I believe they mentioned BWCU, CSA and AWM, irrc. All co-written by Kris!

I forgot to mention that I am sooo glad Bring it Back made the album. That track contains his best vocal, imo. There’s an intimacy about it that is just, I don’t know, devastating. Heart. Owie.

I’m with you on that, auntieaimee! It’s one of my favorite cuts on the album. It makes my heart ache every time I hear it. He puts so much emotion and himself in when he sings. He just lays his soul out there for all to see.

This was all sorts of win. Real questions with real answers from Kris. Tons of sly humor and straight out honesty. I can’t pull out any single quote or moment because there was just so much there that I loved.

Thanks for the link to the EW Stupid Questions spread. Very funny! As far as the Lindsay Lohan comment, I thought he was more making an observation on what gets featured on TMZ. Drunk celebs or people acting badly or caught in embarrassing situations seems to be their stock in trade.

On other topics here, that stinks about the pass for a lot of people. I really wonder how those are being counted or not counted. Kris’ projected numbers from first day sales seemed way off for me. I’m also ticked that most of my download didn’t include song titles.

I wouldn’t worry about too much. Kris didn’t call Lindsay a crack s***. That comment was tame compared to what I’ve heard others say about her.
