Kris Allen called into Bobby Bones’s Austin TX KISS FM show early this morning for an interview.

Maybe he should have stayed in bed.

The DJ’s were sorta asshats–pretty stupid to ask Kris “Is Danny Gokey as big a douche as we think he is?” Like, how is he supposed to respond to that?

And then they misquote Gene Simmons in order to ask about Adam Lambert–No, Simmons didn’t say Adam “crushed” his career by coming out. Kris’s response was pretty much WTF??!?

About the album, Kris says he’s part of the writing process and that hopefully it will come out in November. Finally, good information, but it doesn’t come til near the end. As always, Kris is a super good sport in the face of stupidity…

    Kris is awesome.
I can’t believe the douche question though, it would have been great if Kris turned it around and said “Are you (as big of a douche as you seem)?”

He seems tired. He better rest up for the tour, poor 5’7” guy.

  • suebrody

Well…they asked a couple of interesting questions (e.g., about his wife’s work and his forthcoming album and…er…well…that was about it). They also kept mentioning his “hot wife” (WTF?), which he ignored (GO, KRIS!), and then asking if he was sure Adam was going to win…I mean, seriously, how is he supposed to answer that? Yes, they made a mistake, I’m giving the title back?!

Good on Kris for not hanging up on these losers.

  • houstonrufus

I used to live in Austin. Those guys are definite ___hats. Bones thinks he’s some kind of idol expert. His sidekick is your typical obnoxious frat guy who does nothing but insult and act stupid. I don’t miss that radio station at all. I hate morning radio.

  • rockvixen

Ugh poor Kris having to deal with that crap. I love Kris … he’s such a gentleman.

  • drea

Wow. What jackasses. I think Kris was too tired to realize it, but those jerks made Kris look like a saint.

  • snuffles

Most radio DJs are a$$hats. They love to bait celebrities. Luckily Kris is too smart to fall for their tricks.

  • suebrody

    Kris is my hero!

And on the happy news front, for those of you who are too tired to keep reading the Adam is In/Out/Roundabout Thread (j/k):

Here is a tweet I got back today from Aaron Spears about Kradam:

aaronspears@suebrody1 I will tell you that they both sound great and want to give you the best show possibleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦Definitely going to be dope!!!!

    *thud*

  • canadiandcfan

    wow.
kris really came out of that one looking (or.. err, sounding) like a pro.

i dont think id have been able to do the same. one more mention of ‘hot wife’ i probably would have snapped. kris did fantastic

  • storm45701

does this guy EVER lose his cool?

if these guys are ANYTHING like the DJs I listen to, then they are the douches!

  • mgk

I actually like Bobby and Amy, but Lunchbox(the one that asked the douche question) is such an idiot. I can’t believe he asked if Kris’ parents have jobs. How effing rude is that? Kris handled it well though.

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

Hearing that interview just makes me want to give Kris a big hug and give those DJ’s a good smack! Some of those questions about his wife were very inappropriate as well as the questions concerning Adam.

Kris seems to (unfortunately) know the drill by now with all this unnecessary junk and he handles it all very well.

    heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s such a gentleman.

He truly is. I wouldn’t have blamed him if had hung up on them.

  • taks

Seriously, can someone give me the address of these DJs so I can hurl something heavy or at least shout something profane at them on Kris’ behalf? I know he would never do or think of something like that but I am not half the person he is (and those DJs would fail to register on that scale).

I don’t think I’ve ever heard an interview with Kris where I didn’t end up liking him even more afterward. He’s just so personable and genuinely nice.

At least I finally can rest knowing that he’s 5’7″ (I’ve heard speculation of his height all across the board). I don’t know what I’m going to do until November, I’m already going through Kris Allen withdrawal.

  • AC

In other interviews, I keep seeing other people comment on how sleepy Kris sounded, but I never really thought that because he just seemed more laid back and has that type of drawl to his voice. But yes, this is what he sounds like when he’s sleepy.. hehe..

Go Kris though! Even though I don’t like Danny, that was kinda rude to say that he’s a douche. Ugh.. Yay for Kris though- my idol! =)

  • PhDude
  • ShariG

Amy, you are an idiot. He has already answered that country question about fifty times since he did the duet with Keith Urban. Good. Kris thinks Danny is a great guy and kind of scolds them for saying negative things about him. I’m really glad to hear that. These guys are really obnoxious. It was a little interesting to hear about his pay for being on Idol. Interesting that Katy was able to do her job from LA and that his parents basically paid their own way to fly back and forth during the show. I wondered about that last year with David Cook’s family, too. He did a great job of fending off the totally idiotic questions. I agree that people will forget about Adam’s coming out and focus on his music. I really love that Kris stays a good friend to Adam no matter what they throw at him. Glad to hear that Kris is a part of the song writing for his album. I don’t think these guys were actually fans of Idol in general let alone Kris in particular. Not fond of this radio station especially the second guy that kept kind of butting in with objectionable questions and statements. Kris handled it very well. He is the most unflappable 23 year old ever and 5’7″ is a great height! Katy looks about 5’2″. So perfect.

  • gvg

I believe Simmons actually did say that in a different interview. He said that Adam’s career would be over before it started because he came out–so pretty much the same thing.

  • lifeisfun

Its really interesting to see how horrible the media acts compared to people like Kris and Adam, and how ignorant some people really are. Kris is so classy!

  • isisdagmar

Ugh, my least favorite part of that (it’s so hard to choose) might have been the continual, sexist references to the “hot wife.” Poor Kris–he sounds so tired, and have to deal with such idiocy must be even more exhausting. He and Adam must both be so tired of dealing with insipid DJs and reporters.

Kris is just such a wonderful person. I love how happy Kris and Adam are to sing each other’s praises–and Allison’s. :)

  • maturin

BTW I love the picture on this post. It is so thought-bubble worthy. “I am Pocket Idol. I am 100% douchebag repellant.”

  • annabelina

They were idiots, but I didn’t think they were that bad. The station that interviewed Cook last year who asked if Archie was gay … they were asshats.

Kris sounded sooooo tired, and yet he was able to stay levelheaded and sound like a pro. I just like him more and more. :)

  • Vak33

The one DJ was a real moron. Also, I’m no Adam fan, but anybody, Gene Simmons included, who thinks that jsut because Adam came out of the closet his career is done are idiots. Elton John? Freddie Mercury? Almost every 80′s hair band front man (not all gay, but definitely played the effeminate angle)? Does Gene just not pay attention to the music world?

  • LK09

DA has had to endure many stupid questions like this from DJ’s in the past year. It makes you wonder. Oh yes, and I forgot about that stupid one who asked Cook that but was too much of a coward to ask DA. I wish they would. He answered it in the philippines quite well.

  • girlygirl

It was 7 a.m. out here in L.A. when Kris did this interview. I was already awake (unfortunately) so I heard it live — and if I were Kris, I would have hung up on them for sure. The link here doesn’t replay the entire interview, I don’t think — the first time the DJ called Kris’ wife “hot” Kris actually thanked him — and agreed that she is indeed hot. But how many times did the DJ have to refer to her that way? And the question about Danny in particular was unnecessary. The ones about Adam I guess are inevitable since he’s been in the news so much.

Even sleepy, Kris was able to both keep his cool and answer coherently — two things I doubt I woulkd have been able to do under the same circumstances.

  • undercooked

BTW I love the picture on this post. It is so thought-bubble worthy. à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“I am Pocket Idol. I am 100% douchebag repellant.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬

LOL! Oh, this could so go the superhero route. I want to design a costume. We could get the cape from the Best Week Ever skit for starts. PI could be written on the front of his white t-shirt (courtesy of the pen that Simon used to draw a moustache on Paula). And anytime one of his fellow idols is asked an awkward question from a reporter Kris could swoop in an answer for them.

  • AnnaMarieFields

Poor Kris.He should of just fell alsleep while they were talking lol.It sounds like he wants to pass out.

I’m happy he’s writing his album with people. This proves that it wont be your typical winner album.Has any other idol wrote songs for the first album?

Also is Nevember to late? I thought the albums come out in september/october.
I will be so mad if Allison and Adam come out before Kris’s album. Then again I
would think Allison and Adam arent writing there albums. They arent song writers and i can see them singing with idol gives them.

  • abbysee

He’s incredible. I really like him. Too bad he and Adam have to answer stooopid ass questions.

  • sleeptalker

But some of their questions were good…such as if he sang “A Song For You” through all of the levels of auditions, or about the status of his album and the stipend.

Still so much Kris love. He just wants to make music. He’s not really concerned about his status as a celebrity. Besides, he has a “hot wife”. What more could he want? ;)

  • jlc

I wouldnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t have blamed him if had hung up on them.

I wish he would have. If not after the Gokey question then especially after the dipshit kept referring to Katy as his “hot wife”. Uncouth or what?

ETA: Wait! I just saw the vid from the other thread—Danny IS a douche! But the DJ still shouldn’t have asked that of Kris.

  • colette

    Um, who is Aaron Spears?

And y’know Kris is so decent that it really puts into relief the scuminess of a lot of celebrity media stuff these days. Telling someone his colleague is a “douche” on the radio, and identifying the woman he loves as his “hot wife”?

No, it’s not the worst. But it’s so RUDE and CRASS. and no matter how much I enjoy the guilty pleasure of those little TMZ clips, etc. the sleazy celeb coverage is just over the top and has some pretty scary social implications too (which I won’t be a Debbie Downer and catalogue here).

Anyway, good for Kris in not playing along. It’s hard to set a less salacious tone when these jerks are running the show, but he has my gratitude for trying.

  • suebrody

PHDude, thank you for that video. Never saw it before, but it’s must-see viewing for Kradam fans! Or anyone against homophobia, for that matter.

I still think Gene Simmons can suck it. Once relevant (slightly). Now not even remotely. And honestly, to ask Kris about that (and about Danny being a douche): WTF? Seriously?! Kris is too upstanding to say, Hey, that’s inappropriate. And you know if he had hung up on them, that would have haunted him for a long time. But you sort of wish he had.

    You go, Kris. KRADAM FTW

  • cookcricket

Morning voice ftw! lol. There were actually a few new things here as others have mentioned. I like that he’s in on the writing process!

Such a good guy! And yes, I’m glad to officially know how tall he is. lol! Imo, his answers to the stupid questions re: Danny and Adam were so real. Good job Kris! I can’t help but like him more and more!

    (Hi ShariG!!)

  • girlygirl

Aaron Spears is the drummer for the AI tour

  • anotherview2

I too, use to lived in Austin for many years. This is a poor representation of this great and knowlegeable music community. Try the U.T. station next time Kris…these guys are a bunch of lightweight dopes!.

  • colette

Thanks girlygirl. and yup, Austin deserves better! Great music community and home of the South by Southwest fest….

  • milly93

    Ugh, what asshats.

Of course, Kris is so good at being nice in his interviews that he was able to deal with their stupid questions perfectly fine. :)

  • girlygirl

Yeah, Austin is considered one of the best music cities in the U.S. …too bad this radio interview didn’t reflect that.

On another note, do the AI contestants ever do things with the college radio stations? That would seem like a natural tie-in, at least in terms of age range…

  • Natasha

I believe Simmons actually did say that in a different interview. He said that Adamà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s career would be over before it started because he came outà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’so pretty much the same thing.

Yeah, Simmons did say it in a different interview. He said Adam had killed his career before it even got started by admitting he’s gay and that people wouldn’t accept it. I don’t think he was trying to run Adam down by saying it, he actually seemed concerned.

I don’t really share his view on that, but he did say it.

  • hollygo9

wow, where does radio find all of the assclowns to fill the morning dj slots?

Adam is also writing for his album and wrote songs with Monte Pittman for their band The Citizen Vein. I don’t know about Allison, I haven’t read anything about her writing songs, maybe someone else has.

Yes sleeptalker, so true. I find this so endearing about Kris. I am a huge Adam fan, and I am enjoying watching him soak up his celebrity status, he seems to really want and enjoy that. However, I find Kris’ only in it for the music attitude so appealing. I love both these guys for different reasons, they are both wonderful. :wub_tb:

  • ozarka

These same guys interviewed Archie last year over the phone. They were quite crass back then too. I’m just glad to find out that they weren’t particularly that way because it was Archie. They’re just douchey with everybody evidently. Especially that sidekick guy. BTW, David handled the situation back then admirably just as Kris has.

  • AnnaMarieFields

i dont remember adam saying he was writing songs for his album.Regardless
both will put out good albums that will sell millions

  • girlygirl

I think I saw that Allison is writing, too. Evidently she has been writing songs since she was young (well, younger). Whether any of these guys will actually have many songs they write or co-write make the cut for their debut albums is another thing entirely.

  • Michelle

Aw, poor thing sounded like he was still in bed, heh. I suppose his Idol superpowers include diplomatically handling asshat morning DJs while half-conscious.

Also is Nevember to late? I thought the albums come out in september/october.

Nope, November is right on the money going by recent seasons. The main thing is to try to catch Black Friday for shopping. Worst case is missing the holiday shopping season altogether, cause music sales really drop off depressingly in January.

  • AC

From what i’ve been reading (including on twitter. hehe..), it seems like that they’re trying to get kris to write a lot with different cowriters or collaborate with them on it. That makes sense since I’m sure that they will market him as a singer/songwriter type so if he doesn’t write on this one, it’ll be kinda stupid. For Adam,I’m sure he’s cowriting some stuff too but I think he’s also getting a lot of songs presented to him and that’s why I think his album will come out before Kris’s. I’m thinking Allison’s will be out first since it seems like they’re just looking for songs for her. I’m thinking she’ll probably have a hand in a song or 2 but since she’s young and has time to grow, I think they’re just going to give her material. That’s why I don’t think 19 will sign anyone else since there are no other rumors about record deals or starting on the album.

  • LK09

Ok, I remember another stupid question a DJ asked DA. They asked if he had been to any strip clubs!!!! He was under 18, first of all. He just said, “Uh, no.”

  • washpd

Just to give you an idea, I was listening to their livestream, waiting for Kris to come on the show, and the bit they did before the Kris interview was about the sidekick interviewing a bunch of strippers. It was not classy, to say the least.

The interview was good for me, though, to hear Kris defend Adam against Gene Simmons’s stupidity (and, yes, he said exactly that in an interview. They played a clip of it on the show a bit before Kris’s interview–FWIW, the DJs all thought Gene was stupid about it, too), and to hear him talk about being excited about being involved in the songwriting process for the album.

And, also good to hear his sleepy morning voice. Nice.

  • girlygirl

As an aside, has anyone here listened to the album Kris did pre-Idol (Brand New Shoes)…I know a lot of the songs are downloaded on various websites…if so, what did you think (I guess Kris himself called it immature or some such thing? but I’ve seen posters that have liked at least some of the songs)

  • washpd

I’ve listened to Brand New Shoes A LOT. I love it. I understand what Kris is saying about it being immature, but I think it is actually really good. Probably the best I’ve heard from an Idol contestant pre-show. I actually think “I Was Played” could be a hit on the radio right now.

  • Tess

    AnnaMarieFields….Bubblegum…..KrisAllen1 (couldn’t resist)

There are a lot of Idols who also dabble in songwriting…and some of them do really well at it.

Kris, Adam, and Allison have all written or co-written, with Kris being the most prolific of this bunch. Both David’s wrote or co wrote songs for their albums. And, I believe Daughtry wrote many of the songs on his first album and wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on his new album.

I think Songwriting is something a lot of the idols at least attempt….and a lot of them work in collaboration with their songwriting teams. I think Kelly also writes.

  • ozarka

Ok, I remember another stupid question a DJ asked DA. They asked if he had been to any strip clubs!!!! He was under 18, first of all. He just said, à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Uh, no.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬

Yes, LK09, that was the Bobby Jones show. The same ones who interviewed Kris. It was that sidekick moron who asked that.

  • 77amy77

Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve listened to Brand New Shoes A LOT. I love it. I understand what Kris is saying about it being immature, but I think it is actually really good.

I expect he finds it immature in the way any of us would reading back over things we wrote a few years ago. The lyrics of the songs are clearly very personal – as we learn more about Kris, the easier it is to work out what he’s singing about. So it doesn’t surprise me that he feels that way. It is a great album though and I think it shows what’s he can be capable of now he’s actually in the industry.

    ITA about ‘I Was Played’ – it’s a very radio-friendly song.

  • girlygirl

I know of people under the age of 18 who have been to strip clubs. But yeah…it was a stupid qeustion…especially for the squeaky clean Archie!

  • karenw

i dont remember adam saying he was writing songs for his album.Regardless

I’ve seen a couple of twitter comments from people saying that they’re writing with Adam at various times.

One in particular, Ferras, twittered yesterday that he had just spent the afternoon writing with Adam and he posted a similar thing a couple of days ago.

    http://twitter.com/OhFerras

…. and yeah a lot of DJ’s aren’t really interested in their guests they just seem to enjoy trying to make fun of them and try to come across as wise guys when really they just come across as very childish.

  • Tess

I guess the schtick for a lot of morning DJs now is to try and be funny (they usually aren’t), to attempt to embarass the people they interview, to be gross and rude and obnoxious to every guest. If they research an interviewee at all they pick out all the worst blog comments on the web and run with those. I guess it is just about shock and controversy. I think the radio powers that be really think that the audience that listens to this stuff has the intellect of a 12 year old, but I think that is disparaging to the 12 year old.

Radio, once again, is slowly dwindling in popularity. Now that more cars have MP3 players, disc players, more people listen to Satellite they are looking, again, how to gain listeners. And I guess Radio thinks that catering to the “ignorant” set is how to get airtime. If I am forced to listen to radio when driving I am so happy I can switch stations often.

  • shadow-rider

He sounds like he is tired. That or he didn’t want to do this interview. These guys were definitely asshats.

  • shadow-rider

And I agree with you mj. Kris should have stayed in bed and passed on these stupid idiot DJ’s.

  • bambambam

I think it’s never amiss to hang up on jerks like this and claim you lost your signal and never speak to them again.

It’s very unlikely that they could get entire radio chains to boycott your record. I’ts not like the Seventies when Bette Midler broke her record over the wrong suit’s head and the whole Bill Drake radio chain dropped her.

  • GeorgiaPat

It wasn’t as bad as I expected. They’re barking up the wrong tree if they think they’ll get him to spill something “juicy.” Kris is always so diplomatic.

  • capricorn

Well, I live in Austin. Believe it or not, the top country radio morning show hosts (Bucky & Bob on KVET FM 98.1) LOVE AI, and Kris Allen. I sent this info to them. Maybe they’ll arrange for an interview that redeems those idiots!

  • Katie1

“girlygirl” I have listened to Kris’s pre-Idol album also and If you haven’t already you should check out his song “Beautiful Moon”..Hope we get a little taste of this on his new album..

As for the interview…Well lets just say I hope Kris don’t have to do these radio interviews too much longer…

I am a pro photographer and god I would LOVE to do both Kris’s and Adams photo shoot….

  • maturin

And I agree with you mj. Kris should have stayed in bed and passed on these stupid idiot DJà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s.

Kris should do some interviews from bed, in fact. Shirtless, preferably. They’d be very popular.

  • houstonrufus

Yup, they were holes to Archie, too. I forgot about that. Especially the sidekick. Kudos to Kris for handling it so well. I wish idols would just skip interviews on this station. I know morning radio is full of daft idiots. But such behavior shouldn’t be rewarded with more interviews. At least if it stands out like this.

  • girlygirl

So I’m flipping around the tv channels and TV Guide Channel has American Idol Rewind on…Houston/Hawaii auditions from Season 3 (?)…watching this again just reminds you how hard it is to get through even to the Hollywood roudn of the show…and how many people need to get a grip on reality!

  • kristi

I live in Austin too, and I cannot tell you how much I dislike this radio show. Bobby himself is usually only mildly annoying, but the sidekick, Lunchbox, is just as obnoxious as he can be. He is a true embarrassment to Austin, Texas. I had never written in to the producers of a radio or TV show in my life until this show, due to culturally reprehensible comments about overweight women, by Lunchbox. He was required to apologize the next day.

The reason I did not hear this broadcast live is that my family and I have just decided the show is too repugnant.

edit: no call to arms to harrass the media, please

  • rkt

Kris sounded he was still in bed. But he did really well answering those stupid questions. On the flip side at least he got a spin of NB in the end.

  • colette

re the songwriting comments: does anyone else wonder about all this rush-rush writing by committee?

It’s not new to write stuff on demand of course — consider the “Brill Building” days when Lieber and Stoller, Carole King and Gerry Goffin, etc. came out with so many great pop songs by just cranking ‘em out.

But in part because I think the songs on many Idol albums are so unmemorable (or lame), it just feels like inspiration and having something to say through music play less and less of a part in this process. Neither Adam nor Kris would want to put out on album that sounds like it was manufactured on an assemblyline, but can you really write something meaningful on these “blind dates” with multiple songwriters who are also writing for pop singers who are polar opposites of you?

Would love to hear what others think on the subject, becasue it gets to the heart of why a lot of first-Idol records are not that good — including the ones that sell decently… :question_ee:

  • girlygirl

please don’t spam the blog with the same posts. Pick a thread and post it once.

  • houstonrufus

Wow, kristi, well, I’m glad they forced “lunchbox” to apologize for something. And let me just say, I’m no prude. But the guy is a world class, obnoxious ass. And Austin ain’t exactly in the top 10 of markets, so I don’t what he thinks he’s proving or who he thinks he is. And his handle, “lunchbox”, tells you all you need to know–daft. And you are right, Bobby Bones sounds like a pretty nice guy that just gets dragged into the muck by lunchie. Seriously, idols should just skip this show.

I’m probably being overly sensitive about it, but I don’t think the idols gain much by appearing on the show. Lunch asked Archie about visiting strip clubs. The whole thing was so transparent. And it’s not like it served David well. Likewise for Kris. If idols are just going to be set up like sitting ducks, then what’s the advantage? Mark that station off the list and move on. Kris and David handled themselves well, so whatever. But it still pisses me off that these hard working kids walk into a situation only to treated so poorly. They are all good sports, thankfully. Has morning radio always been like this? I feel like the guys on the top 40 station in Houston are functioning at a 7th grade level.

  • Gigi3

I didn’t love Kris’s answer about Adam’s “coming out”. I know it’s hard to answer questions on the fly like that, but if IIRC he said maybe people would forget about it.

    What?

  • 77amy77

IIRC he said maybe people would forget about it.

I think he just meant hopefullly people would stop worrying about Adam being gay and move onto more important things, like the music. That his ‘coming out’ isn’t and never has been an issue.

  • storm45701

there’s only one area of radio seeing growth, and that’s public radio. NPR’s ratings took off last year, and haven’t declined. Top 40 radio is in bad straits, and one of the reasons is because of horrible on-air talent. The consolidation of the business and strict programming-by-genre (with the loss of diversification) is also to blame.

AI fans should never really call a radio station to complain, since we know it can be detrimental (ClayMates, anyone?). Just let it roll off the shoulders.

Adam, like Mr. Allen, appears to want to get to the music. So, yes, he probably IS wanting to move past the coming out week.

I thought Kris did well with these jerks. He really does have such a calm way about him that just kind of diffuses things. He’s a cool guy.

As a Danny fan, I appreciate his response to the jerky question about Danny. You could sense his irritation with the dj….”uggh, don’t say that.” This is the second time that Kris has stood up for Danny, and I sense he gets annoyed with the Danny “hate.”

I know that when faced with similar crap that djs have said about Taylor, Elliott Yamin, has not really taken up for Taylor (and I know that Taylor and Elliot are good friends), so yeah, I do appreciate Kris taking that step to say something nice.

Kris really is a nice guy. I wish him the best.

  • OutlandoGirl

    I like Kris, he’s a cutie patootie.

    And the DJs were jerks.

But man, that was almost as boring as Gokey on Idolatry!

    Yikes.

Kris sounded like he was STILL asleep.

  • wand3rful

Kris should do some interviews from bed, in fact. Shirtless, preferably. Theyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢d be very popular.

i like the way you think.

By the way, did you guys see that Kris ranked #1 and Adam #8 on the sexiest reality stars of the season on this website?

poll obviouslly taken by very smart people with great vision :)

i too was surprised by some of the rankings…thought adam would be higher, but very pleased to see pocket idol at numero uno

  • carolinacharms

who’s the douche now? bones, that’s who!!

  • taran33

Finally some different questions for Kris to answer! Danny and Adam comments were stupid tho’.

Kris sounded like he was still in bed.

  • cookcricket

Awww, he just had morning voice. Just think…never mind. lol.

Yeah, overall there were some good things, but they had some stupid questions in there.

  • pookiepie

Kris says so much when he says so little – his low key responses really show the dj’s up for the jerks they are. Kris never loses his cool and is never willing to bus one of his fellow contestants. He is truly and honorable person – HE IS TRULY AN AMERICAN IDOL in SO many ways!!!!

  • SarahP

awwww what a nice way to start my day! sleepy me listening to sleepy kris’s voice :happy_tb:

and good for kris! “i’m not a millionaire”……….yet hehe

  • LK09

Yes, LK09, that was the Bobby Jones show. The same ones who interviewed Kris. It was that sidekick moron who asked that.

Thanks Ozarka for reminding me. I think the idols should stay away from stations like that.

  • Suzanne

Just listened. Kris is great. He’s so easygoing and yet completely puts the end to rude statements like that question about Danny.

I wonder if we’ll get any hints about what he’ll be singing on tour? No Boundaries, Falling Slowly, Heartless, and two others?

  • maitrang

I’m so jealous of Adam’s fans who now knows at least 2 songs he’s going to sing on tour. We Kris fans are still clueless about his song choices, except for the disastrous song *sigh*

  • Akatot

I think the idols should stay away from stations like that.

I disagree. I think it helps remind them that there are douchebags in all walks of life and we learn more about them by the way they respond to the idiocy.

I don’t think there’s any way Kris wouldn’t sing “Heartless”. That’s his signature song from the competition.

In fact, I expect all the top 10 to sing the one song from the show for which they got the most praise and positive reaction. Of course, a few of them didn’t have such well-received performances, so they should probably go with a clean slate.

JLC – which thread (i.e. stating that Gokey is a douche)?
