Kris killed those Christmas songs! Beautifully done. I didn’t think it would be possible for an Idol to surpass Elliott’s Christmas CD, but if Kris ever puts one out it might. Hopefully next year!

BTW I haven’t heard Archie’s yet, but I’ll have to check that out as well.

LOL, Tom’s Shoes is a philanthrophic company that donates a pair of shoes to a needy child for every pair purchased. I’d not heard of them until Kris mentioned them a while back, then out of the blue my daughter in college asked for a pair for Christmas.

LLWD 23 & 14…happy day! But does anybody have a theory as to why the single is now climbing and the album going back down the charts? A few days ago the album was climbing big time.

Sorry to say but that latest LLWD is a cacophony of sound…Andrew’s guitar was way too loud and vocals too soft. I know the video sound quality wasn’t the best, but I think that song works best when Kris dials it back and does it solo on the acoustic with Cale accompanying. (Love the Hartford Acoustic Version!)

It sounds great with the full band, but the full acoustic set doesn’t work well IMO.

That first set of vids has poor sound quality. Sound is better on some that others got, but is still uploading.

The album charts fluctuate a lot more because the volume is lower. Something can move up and down 20 places or so around the bottom there and it really is only the difference of hundreds or so. Way more singles are sold on iTunes, so moving up more spots there is more meaningful.

That said, I think LLWD has just gotten a lot of exposure in the past week or so, and it continues to increase its radio airplay.

The album went up on iTunes because of the SYTYCD performance. TV appearances sell an artist and for a show like SYTYCD, it reminded a lot of viewers who Kris was and that he had an album out.

LLWD’s sales are from people not buying it because it is a Kris Allen song, but because they heard it on the radio and liked it. It usually takes a few successful singles before people are interested enough in the artist behind the songs to purchase their whole album.

I’m sorry about you not being able to see them. I won’t be able to see them, either. They will be in my area, Orlando, on the 18th, along with Allison, I believe, The Fray, and Leona Lewis, I think, and some others; but the price is too steep. Jason is one of my favorites and I think Kris is cool, too.:-). As far as Jason looking bigger, he is actually not that tall, either. So it may be a combination of Kris’ size and Jason’s proximity to the camera.

Kris needs to do a Christmas album, period. His voice is so smooth and buttery and you just want to roll around in his songs. All of the Christmas songs he has covered so far have completely blown me away – and I’m not even a Christmas song fan. They are simple, yet refreshing, not overdone and so, so Kris. I really think a Christmas album from him would sell like hotcakes.

I noticed that too–and Chris T. seemed to be nodding/bopping his head along, as well. These guys haven’t known each other that long (well, Kris and Cale have), but they already seem to enjoy each other’s company and respect each other a lot. I’m glad Kris is surrounded by people who genuinely like him.

Did I understand that right, Kris sang HAMLC and Felice Navidad with Allison yesterday and there are no videos of these duets? Why do private concerts/events/parties even exist, WHY? Anyway since we don’t have the duet I LOVE Kris’ version of HAMLC. Poor Ryland, he didn’t know that Kris was going to sing that song. Yes, and the 8th song (IIO) happened thanks to the fans who asked for it!! I wish the next time Kris has the opportunity to do more songs they ask for a song that we haven’t heard live yet. But maybe if the band hasn’t rehearsed it they won’t be able to perform it, then Kris can do it alone, no? We won’t lose anything by just asking so whoever goes to any of the next shows just ask for another song. Did I say that I’ll wait patiently till February for new songs, obviously I can’t do that.

Ha-ha for who ever here that ever thought that the first line was ” I’m a little punk…” Yea, Kris’ accent made it like that.

And the way his whole body was moving around on that stool.
His right knee kept moving to the beat, sometimes his bottom moves up away from the seat, his left kicky foot was up to the knee level several times, his body leaning back to the back of the stool, and he moved his guitar left and right. And the voice that came out from that mouth singing the song that he co-wrote. What a talent and the guy is so NOT boring.
And all the while I kept thinking ” That jeans are so tight.”

OMG! Kris! That Christmas song for Bonnie Hunt – the visuals are killing me. It’s only Kris Allen who can make a christmas song sound sexy. Katy is a lucky bench, haha. Hold on tight Mrs Allen.

I think this acoustic performance is better than the Mechanics Hall one because everyone in the band(including Andrew) seems to be more relaxed and bopping along to the music. This really enhances the overall performances. Kris seems even more immersed in his singing than usual….you can see it written all over his face lol.

The Christmas freeze starts tomorrow and will continue until January 5th. During that time period, we don’t see a lot of adds and playlists are pretty much set. Christmas songs and countdown shows (even worse this year because it’s the end of the decade) crowd out the current songs and many songs lose their bullets. So, how did our Idols do going into the freeze?

Well, lots of milestones were met. Kris Allen’s LLWD has put on a last minute sprint to become a top 15 hit on HAC and a top 30 hit on Pop.

ITA, I really like the song and I bet it’s a very proud moment for Cale too every time they perform it!! So I wouldn’t like it to be removed from the setlist. Only during acoustic shows I would replace CSA with BIB/LIR/RG or if he keeps performing that maybe MITM could be replaced by one of them in the future. Haha, I don’t think I’m quiiiiite as low key as Kris, but pretty close!! Nah, I just got super lucky – there was an empty seat right in my line of sight, so I just put my ginormous purse on my lap, propped my elbow up and barely even looked at my camera! Plus it has image stabilization, so that helps :)

So glad you guys enjoyed the videos!

Peanuttty – you seriously rock. Thank you!!!! You must go to all Kris Allen performances for us and get the videos. Best quality and sound of any videos I have seen – I have seen MANY!!! (My huband thinks I have lost my mind with my KA obsession – calls him my boyfriend.)

Kris is getting so much more comfortable with the audience. And he is totally in some other place when he is singing. LOVE HIM TO DEATH!
