This concert sounds like it was absolutely amazing. It’s a shame things like this don’t make the national celebrity news.

Whats even sadder is that I haven’t seen anything about it on this morning’s local Arkansas news. I’m about to watch the local 9am newscasts so maybe there will be some mentions then?

ILKA39, the sacrifices that families like yours make are truly inspiring. You and your family are in my thoughts.

and if anyone has a clear MP3 of Kris’ Stuck In A Moment… share please? thanks. :)

    So true, Twig.

ILKA, you have a community of caring friends here – including me – my thoughts and prayers are also with you.

What an awesome, absolutely amazing concert! How can this guy just make me love him more and more? Seeing him talk in that Blackbird promo video you just feel his passion for music and the arts. And on stage with the kids…so beautiful. And Stuck in a Moment-amazing! Would love a clear mp3 of that too!

ilovekrisallen39-you and your husband and kids are in my thoughts and prayers. You guys are so amazing. Thank you for your amazing sacrifice. Hope that Kris and the love here will help you get through this tough time.

Some great videos are showing up–yay! Thanks connie for yours, too! Did you enjoy the concert?

For a chuckle—at 2:08 in that promo video there is a little boy on the end who looks like a mini-Cale. So adorable!!

Really loving the U2 cover! (more please!)

I like her description of how happy AWM makes her feel, unfortunately, it just keeps reminding me that AWM could have been a huge summer hit. I think that AWM is the type of song that people will call into their stations to request and ask their djs for the name and artist, so hopefully PDs will take notice of this response and give the song a shot.

Just wanted to get a quick concert recap out there. First – great venue! Perfect acoustics, packed full with a very enthusiastic crowd. Speaking of the crowd – good mix of all ages from very young to very old. Also good male/female ratio with about 40% guys. Everybody on their feet for most of the concert.

Kris and the KAB sound better than ever! Flawless vocals and a very “tight”, polished sound you usually only hear from bands that have been together a lot longer than these guys. Like many have said, YT videos don’t even come close to doing Kris and the band justice. You really need to see them live to appreciate how truly great they sound!

Every band member is wonderful – but I really have to single out Andrew DeRoberts. His creative guitar work is a highlight of the show. So many of the songs just continue to sound better and I think Andrew has a lot to do with that.

Even though this was a hometown crowd, it was still cool to see how people of all ages were getting into the music. Young kids running to the stage to get a close-up look and maybe a touch from Kris – while “mature” members of the audience were standing, head-bopping, clapping, and singing along. Great to see!

The encore with the Blackbird students was adorable, and a fitting conclusion to an awesome concert. A good time was definitely had by all! If you haven’t seen Kris and the band live – I highly recommend you do.

I just watched the videos, Stuck in a Moment was gorgeous and All You Need is Love was adorablee. Kris was on fire, he must be very excited to perform in his hometown. I commend Kris for all his charity works. I hope there’ll be more videos that would come out.

Thanks for the very descriptive recap, elrok! Sounds as if those of us who have never seen Kris & KAB live really need to do so.

I’ve been thinking about this concert today, and I think that Kris Allen is simply a rare individual. He truly lives a good and loving life. Many of us, myself included, talk a big game, maybe we donate to our favorite charities or we choose a child to sponsor at Christmas, but there are a rare few who don’t just talk the talk; they also walk the walk. Those people get in the trenches–they volunteer at soup kitchens and take time off from their jobs to fly into disaster areas; they are part of Doctors without Borders and they play music for or read books to the elderly. I think that Kris feels blessed not only to be able to play music for a living but also, and maybe even more so, to use his gift to help others. I know it sounds cliche, but he makes me want to be a better person (trademark Jack Nicholson). He deserves every wonderful thing that comes his way.

Triskel4, ITA. Those are the reasons I’m following his career and will always support him! He is the very first celebrity I ever care and follow so closely simply because he is a rare and amazing human being!
