Kris Allen continues his  break from the Lifehouse Smoke & Mirrors Tour to play a solo show.  Tonight’s show will be held at Minglewood Hall in Memphis.  According to the ticket website, doors open at 7:00 p.m. Central, show starts at 8:00 p.m.  Chris Nathan makes a return visit as opener  with or without shoes. Chris will once again play an acoustic opening set as defined by his contract.  This is a general admission standing room only show.

    Some obvious observations:
    That shirt on Kris is just wow.
    NoBo is still a crummy song.
    Kris’ self confidence, ability to mix up songs, and ability to sort of poke fun at himself with this reggae version is also just wow.

    Edit: I wonder if Kara has seen either of the youtubes of Kris doing this….

    That was a really nice interview with Kris. I notice that concert starts at 10 PM. Oh, to be a college age kid again. I remember those days of not going out until 9 PM or later. It just was not cool to go out earlier.

    Yay for another solo show. There were alot of singing along during NoBo, it was cute. I like Kris shirt, it fits him well.

    I see your page, but don’t see a way to leave you a message without signing up. So…let me just say that I now know what you look like and I will look for you at Valpo near the merch table right after the doors open at 9:30. I will wear a black jacket and carry a red purse!

    That shirt on Kris is just wow.

    Totally agree with your observation, fanaround! Hopefully he can wear it again on Nov. 6. That would be great! :-)

    Hey tripp – thanks so much for this thread! You always do such a great job!

    INTK and TMYFML are just sooooo good. Even though the video and audio quality aren’t super-great, Kris sounds amazing – beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. Some day I’d love to hear either one or both of these live. Really, I’d so much love to hear them live.

    There seems to be a logistics issue. Kris is already scheduled to play the Mix 105.1 Holiday Soiree in Orlando 12/5. The Dolphins game is at 1PM and the Mix show is at 6PM.

    If the Dolphin’s thing is like last year, Kris will perform and then will walk the orange carpet & do press. There is also some type of reception prior to the game.

    Girlygirl , I might have missed it but did you enjoy the concert ? I saw where you had returned but didn’t see any comments from you about the concert!! Maybe you’re still dazed from Kris’s performance!!

    I was just wondering how big this venue is and how full it was last night. Sometimes in the videos it doesn’t sound like such a large crowd responding afterward. I am so invested in Kris’s career that I think about things like this. I’m so glad he gets exposed to larger audiences when he opens for others, but he deserves huge crowds himself. I know the solo concert I saw wasn’t sold out and it was a very small venue, but oh my, it felt so intimate and special. I so hope Kris comes close to my area again soon. I know all his tour dates now aren’t near by, but a girl can dream…..
