Kim Kardashian Desperate For Kanye West To Join American Idol (Report)

Here’s a report from Hollywood Life that may or may not be true.  As you know, Kanye West is rumored to be one of the candidates for a judges seat on American Idol. In this new report, sources say his main squeeze, Kim Kardashian, is “desperate” for him to take the job.

“It’s [going to] happen man – Kanye wants to do [American Idol] and Kim want [him] to do it, too,” a source told HollywoodLife.

“[It isn't] final though, but he [wants] to do it badly and Kim [wants] him to do it, and whatever [she wants,] she gets. So watch out…[Kim's] excited though…and [she's] pushing [Kanye] hard to do the [show.] And you know [she's going to] be there with [him] if [it goes] right.”

The source also claims Kanye will wow audiences if and when he decides to sign a contract. “[He's going to] blow [American Idol] up this year, feel me? [He's going to] come with it and people will love him,” the insider adds.

“He [isn't] trying to diss [anybody,] but everybody [knows he's going to] bring the house down once they finalise s**t.”

That source certainly has a way with words. A POET. Ehhhh. I’m leaning towards not true. Some famewhore  in Kanye West’s circle probably planted it.   Or maybe Kim did! Actually, I would’t doubt that a Kardashian would love any opportunity for more Tee Vee time.  As an aside, host Ryan Seacrest is responsible for bringing the braintrust that is the Kardashian/Jenner family into our homes.     How do any of us know if ANY of these judge rumours are true.  Many of the names thrown into the ring are probably coming from over-eager publicists out to get media for their chosen ones.  No one has yet proven to my satisfaction that idiots like Kanye are “on the list”…if someone has an AI or Fox source that has acknowledged this in a taped interview I would be happy to change my mind.

    When have TPTB acknowledged any of the rumored judges in a “taped interview”? Except for Nigel when he was promoting that that Opening Act show and got asked about Idol, the execs in charge of these things haven’t been on camera much this summer. Mariah was just a rumor, that some people didn’t want to be true, until she was confirmed. I can easily see TPTB going after Kanye or Nicki Minaj in a bid for excitement and younger viewers. Kanye on live TV? The show is on FOX, not PBS. The bar that judges have to clear to be considered “worthy” of Idol by execs is probably not as high as the one viewers have in their heads.

    Why would they acknowledge anything in a taped interview.  As Nigel said over a month ago, that type of thing hurts the negotiation process.  It would also look bad if the producers failed to sign their top choices.

    I’m sure that the panel was decided long ago, and that a lot of what is being reported is just rubbish. Kanye was never in the running.

    The thought of seeing Kim Kardashian and her clan parading around on Idol twice a week makes me want to vomit!! It would eventually become all about the no talented Kardasians.

    I don’t really care if Kanye is there but I don’t want that Kardashian family involve w/ AI because then they will be interviewed, they will be on TV more and more, they will go to the finale, etc.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if someone at Idol was leaking these names to gauge the public reaction, or to keep the Idol name in the media.

    I actually dislike all the major names out there for judge – Nikki (too obscene an controversial), Kanye (same as Nikki), Adam (see Kanye), Keith, The Jonas Brother (no one would want him). . . . (Keith would be the best, but I dislike his music even though I love country.)

    I forgot that Kanye was hooked up with famewhore Kim K.  I liked him but forgot she would be along for the ride. No thanks!
