Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez Announced as X Factor Hosts this Week

According to TMZ, Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez will be announced as X Factor hosts this week.

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez will join the payroll of “X Factor” — TMZ has learned, Khloe and Mario will be the new co-hosts of the show.

We’re told the final, tiny finishing touches are being put on their deals, but the announcement will be made some time this week.

We’re told the duo’s salaries will add millions on top of an already enormous talent budget … with Britney Spears in the lead at $15 mil.

Khloe and Mario will debut in November.

The X Factor hosts will join the show when the live episodes begin in November.

    So dissapointed..Simon said he didn’t want a host. Yet he hires someone whose whole career is hosting…from animal planet shows before days resuscitate d his career to now extra; best dance crew & anything else..reality veteran even had his own show…he’s a handsome guy but for some reason I find him incredibly annoying…khloe is interesting choice and think she could do well..but Mario is short and khloe tall? And why pay them so much if they’re only doing 10 or so weeks if live shows..the xf has been really boring so far..Mario won’t add viewers (extra is at bottom of the ratings for that type of show..but hell have super exclusive s to promote) + khloe can bring in more young women hopefully as her family will tweet up a storm and they might film behind scenes for the e! Show

    i feel the  same way about mario.  A year long search for someone new who is not known for hosting and we get a boring yet handsome guy who is known only for hosting and reality shows – from dwts that gave him a career again to his own reality show – previous hosting on everything from extra to americas dance crew to an old show on animal planet…hes pretty to look at but wont bring any new viewers (extra is regularly in last place in the fringe ratings) and hes so stiff and annoying…yes we get it you have dimples. congrats

    Does the slipping XF really need more cheese?  Does Simon want the show taken seriously (is melanie ever going to release a record?) or want the show to become a joke like all the joke contestants they keep featuring (mind you, unlike the VOICE)…Maybe people finally want to watch real talent, real artists

    he said he wanted a non-host so khloe would fill at least that role…she and her family are big with young tweens and women – have tons of facebook and twitter families that theyll promote the show to…people may tune in at first just to see how she does.  i think she has a good personality and will be able to relate to contestants and she’s funny too…we have to see how they split the hosting duties…will they both do the same thing or will mario be the lead host that maybe deals with judges while khloe is backstage filling us in on behind the scenes and talking to contestants before/after they sing.  Have to give it a c hance, and she obviously did well on her screen test and at least shes better than kosbourne.  i guess im the only one who is not a mario fan…wonder if the girls hate on khloe – of all the kardashians, shed be the best choice

    female viewers – and simon has 2 hosts in the uk shows often.  i dont know how they handle hosting duties but maybe khloe would be the cristina millian on the voice doing behind the scenes

    he wants to do something different – anything that might help it stand apart from the others.  and in the uk, the format often works – but it will depend on the chemistry and what they have the hosts do and  how they split their duties…

    Just because you take a broadcasting class doesnt make you good at appearing on live tv…trust me, ive seen many people whove gone to school not be able to connect in the real world

    This show ia a total circus anyway, I don’t see the big deal. Next year they will downsize by replacing Britney with Honey Boo boo, just paying her $500k and a bucket of fried chicken everyday.

    Not necessarily. A lot of people — including me — are sick and tired of the Kardashians and want them to just go away already. But even if someone is interested in them, it appears that Kim (ugh) is the real draw in that family  – Khloe isn’t likely to bring in a bunch of new viewers on her own.

     Khloe will possibly be a good host! I think she was a radio dj. I don’t know if she still has the job but I think she has experience. She’s the least annoying and one with the “personality” out of the Kardashians so maybe people will like her. As for Mario, I find him a little annoying sometimes on Extra but we’ll see. Neither of them are robotic stiff Steve Jones types.

    But the ratings haven’t shown that Britney and Demi have been able to attract very many of their followers (24M for Britney, 14M for Demi) to watch the show. Are there some ratings stats posted that show that a lot of younger viewers have be attracted by these two? (assuming the the vast majority of their followers are younger).

    I can’t comment until I see them in action. Mario is seasoned and Khloe has a sharp wit. They’ll be better than that last bloke.

    I didn’t realize this but read on MTV that khloe has been having live TV broadcasting experience selling her fashion line on qvc. She’s also guest hosted the CBS daytime talk show TheTalk

    Hopefully, Khloe will be the green room or backstage host, kinda like Christina Milian on The Voice.

    Lisa Lampanelli has a sharp wit too, but that doesn’t mean having a sharp wit will work on a mainstream TV show.
