I like Kelly too – I have been looking forward to some new music from her. Wouldn’t mind her touring with Clay. That was a great tour. Clive has probably spewed his last poison. Now if only Clay would leave RCA!

Besides those, Fall Out Boy’s new album comes out on Nov. 4th, Taylor Swift Nov. 11th, Christina Aguilera may have some Greatest Hits album as well. So I don’t think the idols would rule the charts completely.

What tracks from My December would you all recommend to give a listen to? I see you mention Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œNever Again.Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ Any other faves?

“Sober” and “Be Still” are my personal favorites. I never got into “Never Again.”

Add me to the list of people who can’t wait to buy her new album. She’s the only female Idol I go crazy about, and I only saw youtube clips of Season 1.

Right on Steven D… Kelly is the real deal… a natural born SINGER who can kill ya softly, or pin you to the wall – and stay on pitch and in the pocket at all times… she’ll be on my buy list whenever her album drops…

For me there has never been a voice on Idol that compares to KellyÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s. She has so much power to her voice and this extra ability to add so much emotion in her voice just by using that breathy tone. I remember reading that she had a horrible case of laryngitis when she did that version of “Shelter” and itÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s just heartbreaking. If you want an incredible version of Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œThe Trouble with LoveÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ thereÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s the performance she did on Ryan SeacrestÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s show. The last notes she hits are out of this world. I love “My December” and think 90% of the disc is excellent.

Kelly/Cook would be a fantastic tour. It could even be an arena tour. Their musical styles would be very complementary I think.

The new album sounds great. I did really love My December. The quality of an album should never be judged by the number it sells.

Kelly might be my all time favorite Idol. Love her like crazy and I’ve been so anxious for this new album mostly because I love her voice. I’m not terribly impressed with Ryan Tedder though so I’m trying to stay open-minded. With the exception of Bleeding Love I’m not crazy about much else he’s done.

I always saw DC as the male Kelly..voice wise and his AI journey reminded me so much of hers. That said if they ever sang, or toured, or so much as a took a picture together I think I’d combust :jittery_tb:

ThereÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s a short article in the latest Rolling Stone about big 4th quarter album releases, but there was no mention of Kelly there (both Davids were mentioned, but with U2, Beyonce, The Killers, Eminem, Jay-Z and many other big names all planning on releasing new CDs in November, IÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m not necessarily looking for ANY Idols at the very top of the charts). IÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m thinking sales expectations might be a little lower for Kelly after Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œMy DecemberÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ but it sounds like sheÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s in a position to bounce right back. For me, sheÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s still the best Idol evah (well, at least until DC proves himself with a quality album and sales figures to match)

Yeah I saw that article earlier and I was a little surprised she wasn’t mentioned =/ I tend to agree expectations for her will be lower this time around, plus Kelly for some reason actually never really gets huge first week sales so, I don’t know.

there are so many songs on this album i could’ve seen being huge singles, but she just never got the support. such a shame..
