It’s so sad these songs are going to be posted online. The fans paid A LOT of money to be at those pre shows, if I was one of them I would be pissed. I wish there was a way to take them down from youtube.

When I heard she covered “The Story” during one of the preshows, it was instantly one that I really wanted to hear her take on. She definitely didn’t disappoint at all.

mj, looks like a bunch of these recordings are going to be making their ways to the web over the course of this weekend. I think there’s something like 41 songs floating around out there and only a few are public so far.

“empty as i am” immediately made me think of nickelback, daughtry, or dc singing it. not because kelly doesn’t sound fantastic singing it. maybe because mainstream radio only carries gruff-voiced male rockers rocking songs like this anymore, with pink being the only exception among females. its way too bad.

Empty As I Am is a beautiful song. I hope she releases it some day. As a Twilight fan myself, I think the New Moon connection is cool too. I love hearing about artists’ inspirations.

Kelly said she never sent the song to be considered for the sounbdtrack, it’s just something she wrote inspired by the book because she’s a fan.
Having said that, it’s a beautiful song, she shows her emotions while singing like nobody else does. She’s incredibly talented, there is nothing she can’t sing.

In my opinion, I don’t get why AIEW was like a ‘comeback’ album. She never went anywhere. My December, is and will always be my favourite album from her. It’s so earnest and haunting.

Songs like these bring out Kelly’s emotion and richness. It’s a shame if people don’t like this side of Kelly because they’re missing out BIG time.

Right on! “Two more albums, two more albums….” I cannot wait for Kelly to be able to do more stuff like this! “Grown up Kelly” will be an awesome treat…see: Chivas and most of My December.

I love The Story and Kelly’s cover is just beautiful. Is there something she can’t sing?

ITA that Lykke Li’s song is great on the soundtrack, but i’m loving Empty as I am. This, to me, is Kelly at her best… I feel her emotion everywhere. it’s beautifully haunting.

damn, her cover of Story is gorgeous. the twilight track is pretty good….although i do think Possibility (which is a beautiful, haunting tune also from bella’s viewpoint) is so similar in vibe, that producers probably didnt feel it was neceassary to include both tracks.
