Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Special – “Silent Night” + Blake Shelton Skit (VIDEO) (PHOTOS)

Kelly Clarkson’s holiday special, A Cautionary Christmas Tale is almost here! It airs tomorrow night, after The Sing-Off, on NBC 10/9c PM. The special is more than musical performances, it revolves around Kelly learning the true meaning of Christmas, a theme similar to Dickens’ The Christmas Carol.

The American Idol alum taped the musical performances in Las Vegas late October. Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, William Shatner, Danica Patrick, Heidi Klum, Ken Jeong (“Community”) and Jai Rodriguez (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) make appearances.

Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire perform with Kelly Check out their beautiful rendition of “Silent Night.”

Kelly’s BFF Blake Shelton stops by too. Here he is lending a Kelly a hand backstage. Heh.

Kelly Clarkson’s song “Underneath the Tree” is free on I-Tunes.

Will that allow her to chart higher on iTunes?

I’m excited to see the special tomorrow night! Kelly singing will bring me in but I’m also interested in what they come up with for the storyline & all those eclectic guest star cameos!

Re: Silent Night — I love Trisha & Kelly’s harmonies – I’d love to see them work together.

I remember when Idol used to have those cheesy X-mas specials. I loved them, especially Kelly’s performances on them.

I miss those specials. I wish they would do them again.

I’m looking forward to this show.
Trisha, Kelly and Reba are three awesome strong women and they sound terrific together.
Looks to be lots of good music and fun.

Kelly did a good job in this “skit” type format. She still seems down to earth and a terrific singer!
