Kelly Clarkson Teases TV Christmas Special, ‘The Crazy Ones,’ Collaborations & Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball” (VIDEO)

Original Idol and superstar Kelly Clarkson is incredibly busy these days, and a couple new radio interviews give a picture into just how busy she is and will continue to be. Her Christmas album, Wrapped In Red, is due October 29th (see the tracklisting and album spoilers here, and in this interview today with Chicago’s WUSN 99.5, Kelly confirms her heavy promotional schedule for her Christmas album will include a TV special that will air in the US and overseas! Thanks heartly for the link.

In the same interview, she confirms she will also release a full country album early next year in addition to a full pop album, and is trying to work out a collaboration with country music’s 4-part harmonic delight Little Big Town. But wait, there’s more!

Kelly also did a 2 part interview with Dallas/Ft. Worth country station KSCS, in which she teased that she, Reba McEntire, and Trisha Yearwood (who collaborate on “Silent Night” on her Christmas album) are throwing around ideas for a full album together! Check out that audio here (the Reba/Trisha mention is in Part 2):

Kelly fans also have her guest appearance on the 9/26 series premiere of the Robin Williams/Sarah Michelle Gellar sitcom The Crazy Ones to look forward to. In this teaser clip, we get to hear Kelly’s version of the hilariously sexualized meat song she favors for a new McDonald’s ad campaign.

Last but not least, Kelly made some headlines when she tweeted a comment about Miley Cyrus’s much-discussed MTV VMAs performance, which drew backlash from a cohort of Miley’s. Kelly didn’t let that stop her from commenting on Miley’s video for her #1 Hot 100 hit “Wrecking Ball” in the middle of a string of self-deprecating remarks. Check out a partial transcript and video here:

I love that I included heaven and a curse all in one, it’s so Texan! [band is laughing around her] You’re welcome, children, I’m sorry, I’m a bad example…I’m not nekkid on a wrecking ball, so [inaudible] I’m just saying. I’m keeping some of it to myself. Not that she didn’t look good, I’m just saying, ‘What, that’s pretty literal.’ I managed to curse and make fun of someone, I’m such an asshole right now! [laughter around her]
