Kelly Clarkson – God Bless America – Fenway Park, Boston – VIDEO

Kelly Clarkson sang “God Bless America” last night during the Boston Red Sox/Toronto Blue Jays baseball game at Fenway Park in Boston.

Kelly performed at the star-studded game as part of the Jimmy Fund Benefit radio-telethon, to help fund cancer research, broadcasting live from the park. David Cassidy sang the National Anthem! OK, so maybe not so star-studded. Heh.

Also appearing at the two-day event: Dane Cook, Brendan Fraser, Stephen King, Denis Leary, Lenny Clarke, Aaron Neville, and Donnie Wahlberg.

Listen to Kelly sing, after the jump. She’s fab, as always…

She wanted to get over it.

Goosebumps always for that song & Kelly didn’t let me down! She looked cute in the baseball cap & what a great prom for her new album………….

sounds ok but a little shaky though; charice gave me goosebumps when she sang this song during obama’s inaguration ball.

sounds ok but a little shaky though; charice gave me goosebumps when she sang this song during obama’s inaguration ball.

the difference in the significance of the two events might have played a bigger role in the goosebumps than who was actually singing.

She rushed through it, is there a time limit on these things?

  • ghl

She is too in a hurry? But we all know that her voice is one of the best in the market.

  • Pam

I agree with those who said she rushed through it but it did sound nice.

  • movin2thabeet

Yeah, seemed like a quick “let’s get this over with” treatment. That was just a’right for me, for you, for me…

She was awesome. I loved it.

  • May

She sang it a little too quickly but I thought the vocals were perfect.

    Great job Kelly, just great.

I was at this game! She was standing right next to our seats waiting to go on. I’m pretty sure she rushed it since it was raining pretty good – and started to pour right as she went on. 10 minutes later they had to stop the game for a rain delay!

  • J

Yes, she was in a rush but still sounded good as usual. (I found it refreshing that she didn’t lip-sync.) She is an awesome girl :cheese1_ee:

  • druzilla

That was pretty awesome. Glad she hasn’t completely lost her voice.

  • CRB

Rush job. I’m not sure that last note was a particularly great choice either.

She was O.K. Her version was way too fast and that song deserves more emotion and passion. Red Sox… :flush_tb:
