I really enjoyed Kelly’s jazzy take on this ubiquitous song. Unlike most of the other covers of this song, Kelly really brought something new and unique to it.

This is a good one…I think it’s an outstanding song already.  She puts the exclamation point on its greatness, for me! 

It really does work better as a duet, but this had some lovely moments.

I heard that she was singing this song early yesterday and wasn’t overly excited about it because it’s such a played out song by now.  I was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually liked it.  I’m finding myself really enjoying these different songs she’s singing lately that aren’t full on in your face songs where she she’s been able to show a lot of the different textures to her voice that get overlooked in the big anthems.

She’s definitely been picking more popular and known songs on this tour.  I’m thinking she’s playing to the crowd more with the choices since many of them aren’t there to solely see her as they were on the solo tour where people would eat up anything she sang no matter how obscure the song was.

Within the last 5 days, she’s sang 4 of the 10 number 1 songs this year. Wonder if she’ll continue that trend?  She’s already done a Katy Perry song (Wide Awake) and half a Rihanna song (Princess of China) so they probably won’t get a repeat.  Can probably cross off Sexy and I Know It unless she does it as a joke, which I don’t see happening and Flo Rida’s Whistle.  She’s said she doesn’t want to touch Adele’s songs but Set Fire to the Rain has been a popular request this tour and last.  So that leaves the most recent number 1 from Taylor Swift and Kelly better stay far, far away from that one.  haha

The best yet!  I want a studio version of this right now.

I hope she plans to do an album of cover songs.
