Here’s another snippet of “Let Me Down”, the song that’s rumored to be the first single off of Kelly Clarkson’s next album.

Sadly, the album release date keeps getting postponed! At a recent performance at the Houston Galleria, Kelly reportedly told fans her that album has been pushed back yet ANOTHER month, with the single set for August, and the album to be released in October.

ME WANTS NOW.

The blog posting the snip has what are reportedly the lyrics of the new tune.  The short snips we’ve been getting sound promising. What do you think?

    It sounds interesting, but these leaked clips can be very misleading. Looking forward to new music from Kelly. :)

    I am loving the snippets I’ve heard so far. I think October is a much better time for a release. I am a Kelly fan, but not a stan. If I were a stan, I’d be going nuts with all these delays!

    Not impressed by the snippets we’ve heard so far… this doesn’t feel like a strong single.

    At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Let Me Down wasn’t the lead single and didn’t even make Kelly’s album. That’s not based on any inside info, it just feels like an awful lot of drawn out attention on clips of one song.

    It seems like the new leadership at RCA is in place now so they can get things in gear and organized for Kelly’s promo campaign now.

    Hard to judge on a itty bitty little snippet. I’m looking forward to new music from Kelly.

    Perhaps the lyrics are a message to Sony/RCA:

    I can’t buy into what you’re selling
    And no its not that I don’t want it
    Believe me I love to close my eyes, enjoy the ride
    But you’ve made a bad decision and I…

    Cause if this is what this album sounds like, a lot of fans will be saying “I can’t buy into what you’re selling”.

    Simplistic lyrics, autotuned so much it is hard to know who it is singing — I normally do not judge songs based on snippets, but I will make an exception in this case — I do not like it and I think it is a mistake.

    Hmm, I think it could be fine. Not a big fan of the electronic stuff in the opening, but my favorite songs of Kelly’s are those where the verses are in her lower register, then she lets it rip in the chorus. Hard to really tell with such a short snippet, but this could follow that same formula, something like Behind These Hazel Eyes or even Since U Been Gone.

    I *hope* we have a new single in August; whatever it is, though, I’m pretty sure I’ll like it. I just want it, like yesterday.

    I am going crazy waiting for new music from Kelly. She has the most amazing voice. The best voice out there in music. I miss her on the radio. I am so sick of the music on there now. All the same horrible crap. I must be a stan, whatever that is, because I am tired of RCA messing around with Kelly and her fans. I WANT NEW KELLY CLARKSON MUSIC NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
