During Kelly Clarkson’s tour stop in Biloxi MI on Tuesday (2/14), Clay Aiken surprised the audience when he walked on stage to sing Journey’s “Open Arms” with Kelly!

The two sang “Open Arms” as a duet when they co-headlined a tour back in 2004. They have remained friends ever since. Aw.

    I don’t recall that.  Where was he “public” about this?  In the media?  Link please.  Maybe Clay encouraged Kelly to bash Clive.  lol

    Well, he certainly encouraged her to leave 19M.  Their close friendship has been very public ever since they toured together in 2004.  Perhaps you can provide “proof” that this is not true.

    lol  The “proof” is that there appears to be no public statements from Clay about his friendship with Kelly until relatively recently.  He blogged about encouraging his fans to see Fantasia and how great she was on Broadway and promoted Ruben and his shows as well.  Nada about Kelly until recently.  I’m not saying that they haven’t been friends, but Clay has not been public about it until recently.

    Clay has made public statements about their friendship over the years.  I don’t save links thus don’t have the “proof” demanded, but there are articles from the 2004 tour that are interesting.

    Here’s a question and Kelly’s answer–

    Are you finding that you and Clay have a lot in common?
    “The
    other day (we were) talking about how we can be onstage singing, and
    through the show you can be thinking of something totally different than
    the song. I could be thinking about dinner that night, or just
    anything.”

    Looks like they are both just being honest.  Most likely many singers do the same thing.  Sounds like they had lots of fun touring together and riding in the same bus.  They probably know each other very well after being in such close quarters. The articles of interest–
