Watch the debut of Kellie Pickler’s new video for her single “Best Days of Your Life” from her sophomore album Kellie Pickler.

Co-writer, BFF and country megastar Taylor Swift costars alongside Kellie. The video is cute enough, with the bad-boy protagonist of the song getting his come-comeuppance in the end. Plus, Taylor and Kellie look pretty hot, so there’s something for everyone.

The song has been languishing on the charts–peaking at #28 this week after 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Seems odd that Kellie’s peeps are finally releasing a video.

Maybe the star power of Taylor Swift will put the video in heavy rotation on CMT and GAC, convincing country music station PDs to add more spins to their playlist.

Then again, Kellie is opening for Taylor on her tour, beginning on April 23 in Evansville, IN…

Video after the JUMP…

  • Jolene

This video has so much Taylor Swift in it… It’s like Kellie’s a co-star in her own video.

    Hey, whatever sells, I guess?

  • Lu

LOL!!! As someone who can totally relate to that song, I’m quite envious that her guy got hit by a bus! Good luck Kellie… cute vid, catchy song.

  • miknge

I agree with Jolene. Watching this, it almost feels like the singer is Taylor Swift feat. Kellie Pickler, instead of the other way around LOL. Taylor’s pretty.

  • Dr. Tracey

Taylor Swift is so overrated, I don’t see what the big deal is. Good for Kellie for cashing in on her though LOL

  • hardkandy

They both look so pretty. And Kellie looks better when she’s not so made up. There is a LOT of Taylor in this video though considering she doesn’t even have a featuring bill but hey, that will probably help Kellie more than it will hurt her. And, Taylor looks GREAT.

  • Jolene

IMO, The problem is Taylor has much more star quality, so she really outshines Kellie in her own MV. I get that it’s meant to draw potential new fans for Kellie, but speaking as someone who doesn’t like country and doesn’t know any of Kellie’s or Taylor’s songs, this video made me want to check out Taylor Swift, not Kellie Pickler.
    But that’s just me.

  • hardkandy

^^but I think the purpose is to get more circulation in country music television and radio and with putting Taylor there, it will help Kellie a lot. Also, Taylor’s fans who do not know about Kellie might get compelled to check Kellie’s music out coz of this.
I think it’s a win-win situation. Kellie’s 2nd album sales aren’t doing so hot right now so it’s very helpful that she has a megastar friend to help her. Taylor also put her as an opening act for her solo tour.

  • miknge

I find myself staring more at Taylor rather than at Kellie. Maybe Taylor shouldn’t have done so much hair flipping in the video to steal the spotlight LOL, but i love the hair flipping, so i can’t complain.

  • hardkandy

^^LOL Mel… haha can’t complain either. You know I love me some Taylor.

  • primeminister

Awwh its cute! They both look great.

  • http://stores.ebay.com/BookWomanBlues-Book-Nook Bobbi

I think it is a cute video and will help Kellie’s cd. Taylor Swift doesn’t impress me, but she’s going to help Kellie’s exposure.

  • bjames

definitely a smart move for kellie pickler. i vote she puts the jonas brothers and oprah in her next video!

  • dante

Kellie looks and sounds great – she has grown so much as an artist since AI5.

  • windmills

The video’s kind of cute but the song totally rips off Last Christmas by Wham.

I’m no Taylor fan but IMO she looks frumpy compared to Kellie in the video. At the very least putting Taylor in the video will ensure more video sales at i-Tunes. I’m sure the reason it was released in the first place was to use the Taylor Swift connection to get Kellie a hit but does anyone else think this song is more like a Taylor Swift song than something you’d expect Kellie to sing?

  • dreamr

I guess I’m weird. I barely noticed Taylor in this. I mean, yeah, I saw her obviously, but she wasn’t the one who grabbed my attention. That was Kellie and the storyline. Which, by the way, is super cute. I couldn’t help but laugh at some bits. :P

  • sammi

first of all it doesn’t look to me at all like Taylor is the star. It’s obvious Kellie is and Kellie looks fantastic. The video is great! And although I am no Taylor Swift fan (I think she is a MUCH better songwriter than singer) I think it great she is in here because she has a HUGE fanbase (why I am not sure) and this can only help Kellie.

  • c-lyn

Not being a country music fan, I hadn’t heard this song before. But I love Kellie and seeing this video and hearing the song has prompted me to purchase it from iTunes. I hope that others do the same.

  • Layla

That was just all kinds of bad-everything about it.

  • May

I’m sure Taylor will be a draw because she is so popular. However, I still think that Kellie has tons more personality and stage presence than Taylor ever will. Don’t get the Taylor appeal.

  • Victoria

    ^ I agree.

I could definately tell it was about Kellie. If I had no idea who Taylor was, I wouldn’t think anything of the random girl in the video. She’s just… there. It doesn’t seem like too much Taylor to me. She wrote the song, they’re best friends, why not be in the video?

  • lavender1960

Kellie sure got friends in high places.

  • hardkandy

^^yeah isn’t she good friends with Carrie too?

  • pj

Put me in the “Kellie looks great, it’s a catchy tune, and I don’t see Taylor outshining her at all” camp.

    The bus thing was funny.

Good luck to Kellie. I hope it sells tons. :-)

  • wolfsbane813

taylor will do for kellie what the jonas brothers will do for jordin sparks.

    smart movie kellie. ;)

i actually like this song alot.

  • sciencefan

I liked the video and the song.
    Kellie looked beautiful.

I didn’t like the way they portrayed the guy as rejecting his pregnant girlfriend, and rolling his eyes at her when she came to see him in the hospital.

  • hardkandy

^^Maybe the point was the girl knew that the guy had a girlfriend (Kellie) but still entered a relationship with him. So you know, the whole… once a cheater always a cheater thing… bad karma on both their parts.
Haha, look at me analyzing a music video.

  • Lu

    How old it Taylor Swift?

  • abbysee

    Put me in the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Kellie looks great, ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s a catchy tune, and I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t see Taylor outshining her at allà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ camp.

    Ditto!

  • hardkandy

    How old it Taylor Swift?

    19 :)

  • http://airincaol.com coco

I bet if Taylor S. started singing in tune she could sell 10 0r 15 million units.

    Pickles is really cute here.

  • chicksineggz

I didn’t think Taylor outshone Kellie at all.
Cute video. The IM PREGNANT and getting hit by a bus thing was kinda funny.
Oh and I like the song too.

  • RebelWithACause

This music video will probably turn off most country music fans just for the simple reason this fraud Taylor Swift is in it. But that’s about all music fans can expect from frauds like Kellie and her label. After all these frauds have trashing Kellie’s career for the past three years now. At least thats all I’ve seen.

As for Taylor Swift being a country mega star, the only thing I see is a country mega dud, and Taylors poor sales pretty much prove my point. For every spin that Kellie and Taylor get on radio, Kellie sells more music per spin than Taylor, Carrie, or and of these other frauds in the country music business. Kellie sells more music per spin because music fans like Kellie’s music more than these other less popular and less talented singers. The only reason Taylor sells more music than Kellie when you add up the totals is because Taylor gets tons more spins than Kellie and the only reason Taylor is getting more spins is because radio no longer spins what the music fans like and buy the most, instead they ignore the best music and play the least popular like Taylors, which is why you find many of these large radio companies going broke, just like the rest of the country music industry is finding their sales tanking. You push garbage like Taylor Swift and your going to get garbage in return. Their pathetic stock prices prove that point.

Last New Years Eve we saw proof as to how unpopular Taylor Swift is when hardly anyone in Time Square wanted to be seen in front of the stage Taylor was performing on. Of course the cameras tried to zoom in on the pathetic small crowd instead of showing the viewers the big empty space behind the handful that gathered. Media obviously didn’t want viewers to see that a million New Yorkers would rather stand in the freezing cold and not listen to this fraud rather than be seen on TV supporting this loser.

We also saw how this mega dud Swift couldn’t get a decent applause during her appearance at the telivised CMA Fest concert so what did the producers and media do, they instead edited the real applause Taylor got, which was lame, and told the concert goers they were going to reshoot Taylors entrance until the crowd gave her a load applause which they used to show the TV viewers to make them think Taylor was more popular than she really was. Pathetic I know but that’s the CMA Award show and the media for you.

And lets not forget the CMA Award show itself, which couldn’t even sell the tickets to the award show at full price and sell out, but instead had to discount tickets to less than half price just to fill the seats for that show. But what do you expect when they were promoting such frauds as Taylor, Carrie, and Brad Paisley as performing there while excluding those names who can actually sell tickets like Kellie. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up giving tickets away for free by show day just to fill up the seats, but thats Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood for you, I mean if they can’t sell it I guess they have to give it away. I believe there’s a name for women like that.

And then we have media trying to tell us that this fraud Taylor Swift sold out one of her concerts in minutes, of course that was a lie, tickets were on sale for days before that time and most of those who bought tickets appear to have been scalpers trying to make a buck because even today tickets to that concert are still plentiful on the net, and being sold cheaply I might add. I watched one scalper on Ebay try to sell a pair of tickets to one of Taylors shows where she performed by herself, the scalper paid $90 for the pair of tickets, sold them at auction on Ebay for about $120, after paying Ebay and paypal fees the scalper was lucky if they cleared $15 after gambling their $90. With that kind of poor profit they might as well work at McDonalds. Which is why less and less scalpers are gambling their money on this loser tour of Taylor Swifts. Its also why you’ll find there are still plenty of concert tickets available to her other shows be that Ticketmaster or scalper on the net. Why do you think they have Kellie lately begging fans on her myspace over and over and over again to buy these Taylor Swift tickets that hardly no one wants. If Taylor was selling out shows in minutes they would need Kellie to be begging her fans to buy this fraud’s tickets.

The only reason this fraud Taylor Swift sold more cds than Kellie the past 2 years is because Kellie’s label charged twice as much for her cd than Taylor was selling hers for most of the time. Plus you had Kellie’s label, Sony Music, refusing to stock Kellie’s cd in most stores just as they continue to keep it unstocked today. It didn’t matter to Kellie label that Kellie was the best selling new country artist, and that Kellie was making them alot of money, no instead it seems their only interest was to tank Kellie’s sales and career. Seeing how they spent the past 3 years having Kellie trash her image, performances, and even her own music show Kellie and her label for the frauds they are which is why Kellie, Idol, and Sony will never see a dime of my money again. Not that they care I’m sure seeing that’s obviously what they wanted all along, at least with Kellie’s sales and career.

Has Sony and Simon Fuller listed this video or song on AOL Music? No. Yahoo Music? No. Their own music site? No. Kellie’s channel on youtube? No. Is it being played on GAC TV? No. So what was the point in releasing this video. They allow cheap copies to be posted on youtube to run the major viewer hits down, then they’ll upload their copy, of course this will keep their copy from getting alot of hits and never reaching the front pages but that’s frauds like Sony for you, always trying to make Kellie’s popularity look less than it is.

Kellie’s label putting Taylor Swift in this video is just another example of their disrespect for Kellie and music fans in general. I won’t be watching it, I won’t be listing it to my favorites over at youtube, I’ll be ignoring it just as I’ve ignored all the other trash they’ve made. If they want to go broke let them. When they find music fans like me not buying their Sony TVs and Playstations they’ll see who had the last word in this matter. Just like I’m sure many Clay fans, Taylor Hick fans, Kelly Clarkson fans etc will be having their say when it comes to how much they want to support these frauds down at Sony.

    Thats my opinion anyway.

  • RebelWithACause

And Taylor Swift in her blog on her myspace calls this a cameo performance. Obviously Taylor Swift doesn’t know what the word cameo means. Obviously neither does the fraud who produced this video, or the frauds down at Sony Music. Maybe when Sony Music Nashille lays off some more workers like they did recently they’ll finally figure out what cameo means, because at the rate their going Sony Music Nashville is already a cameo, in the music industry that is. Enjoy losing your jobs and millions Sony, enjoy your lower ratings American Idol and Simon Fuller, because that’s what you deserve. Frauds.

  • hardkandy

As for Taylor Swift being a country mega star, the only thing I see is a country mega dud, and Taylors poor sales pretty much prove my point.

    Wow. LOL. Okay then.

  • oceana

Taylor’s poor sales, that’s a laugh. She’s got better sales lately than just about anyone in any genre.

Kellie and Taylor are best friends and they wrote the song together. I don’t think anyone is “cashing in” on anyone here. It was a project they did together. Kellie’s singing lead and it sounds like Taylor’s singing backups, and Kellie’s in almost every frame, so I don’t see how Taylor is outshining Kellie. To me it was clear that it was Kellie’s song and her video so I guess I didn’t see it that way.

It was great of Taylor to help Kellie with this song and lend her some of her star power. That’s the kind of things friends do. It’s great they’re touring together. I like seeing the friendship they have for each other. Taylor’s mom is like a second mom to Kellie and it’s been great for her.

Kellie looks better I agree with less makeup and I like her hair softer like that. I’ll be glad when she someday doesn’t make so many “bitter” songs though, and finds the love she deserves. Her and Taylor both, but they are young and have lots of time for that.

Nice video, I hope it increases sales for Kellie. I really like her 2nd cd a lot. Some great songs on it.

  • RebelWithACause

I guess someone could take my comments out of context, and try to pass them off as humorous, but I’m not laughing.

But then I don’t find it humorous when I watch videos like Obama Deception over on youtube either. Personally I find that 2 hour video very serious while someone may take that video as a joke. It’s funny I don’t find too many people laughing about that video anymore now that they see the reality of it is effecting their own lives. They mention the corruption in our media industry, which includes our music industry, so I’m not the only one in my believes as to the mega fraud that’s going on in regards to American music today. The corporate thugs at Google and youtube obviously thought this 2 hour Obama Deception video was more than joke, seeing how they removed it from most searches so it wouldn’t be seen on their front pages, although the video can still be seen if anyone wants to watch it simply by searching Obama Deception at youtube.

Mega promotion has brought this mega fraud music industry mega dud sales for this mega dud singer. The proof is mentioned in my post above. The only ones who fell for this mega fraud seem to be young tweens who are acceptable to having their impressionable minds manipulated by the media easily. Most adults are smart enough to see this mega fraud for what it is. A true mega star would have 10 times the sales this mega dud is getting if they were getting the same mega promotion. The only reason the music industry is suffering major finacial losses today is because they are mega promoting trash, in this case Taylor trash. The 3.99 album downloads, the 5.99 cd prices, the cheap concert tickets are all evidence that prove Taylors sales and popularity are nothing but a fraud. If Taylor was truly a mega star why is she having to sell her goods for chump change. Selling cheap goods cheaply in quantity doesn’t make one a mega star, it just show them for the cheap trash they really are, just like the cheap girls who hang out on the streetcorner selling their cheap wares. If the industry want to hand us cheap trash I’m not buying, I prefer and demand quality music instead, seeing how very few are buying what the music industry is pushing I would say most of America agrees with me.

    That’s my opinion anyway.

  • hardkandy

^^Yes, they were selling her album for 3.99 in Amazon but as I understand that was only for a short period of time and Amazon does not constitute for a great percentage of the sales anyway. And she had 10,000 album pre-orders at 45-75 dollars each so that more than evens out that 3.99 discount. All of these discounts, are part of a marketing plan… and guess what? It works.

Sorry but I cannot get on board with the theory that Taylor selling 4 million copies of her debut album and close to 3 million copies of her sophomore is supposed to be considered as “poor sales” especially in this climate of declining record sales. That’s just ludicrous anyway I look at it and however way it is explained. If it’s that easy to sell that many albums as long as you have good promotion behind you, how come not everybody can do it? How come other megastars like Beyonce, Kanye, Britney, Jonas Brothers are not pulling these kind of numbers?

Taylor is a sales phenomenon anyway I look at it. I’ve read/heard lots of criticism regarding Taylor… but that her sales are “poor”… this is the first I’ve heard that.

  • Little Boy Blue

Would you believe Kellie Pickler’s IQ is 117 ?

  • oceana

    Taylor is a sales phenomenon anyway I look at it. Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve read/heard lots of criticism regarding Taylorà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ but that her sales are à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“poorà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ this is the first Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve heard that.

I know, really. Her cd’s been mostly at the top for weeks. I know that some people don’t like her or her singing and thus it irks them. However it irks me when people like Britney and Kanye West have great sales, but different strokes for different folks.

I bought both of Taylor’s cds and I love them. The songs make nice counterpoints to others on my ipods. Some of them are aimed at teenagers, but she writes for her age group and yet I can remember being that age and having those feelings, so I don’t mind. She doesn’t have to appear in her videos naked like Britney, in order to sell records. I think she has a unique songwriting ability and a fresh, different way of singing. She comes across as real and sincere, and I think she will continue to expand artistically as she grows up.

Fact is, her music appeals to a lot of people. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy by her label to get those sales numbers. She gets promotion because she has a product that a lot of people want and the promotion works.

I can see it another way though. I don’t “get” a lot of artists who are tops in sales, and who appear on all the awards shows ad nasueum. To me it seems that they are shoved down the throats of impressionable young people, as I can’t imagine why they are so successful. I suppose that’s how Taylor Swift might seem to others, but if you like the music, then you see it differently.

    Would you believe Kellie Picklerà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s IQ is 117 ?

LOL. I see those ads all the time, and don’t know what to think. Did those celebrities really take an IQ test for those advertisers? Why would they do that? My inclination is to think that those are made-up and not real numbers. How would they know Kellie Pickler’s IQ?
