Kellie Pickler shaved her head, in a show of solidarity for a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Before her friend, Summer Miller, began her chemotherapy, the two shaved their locks together. The entire process was documented on Good Morning America this morning.

    (P.S.)  Kellie has such kind eyes, which I think reflect a kind heart.  I think that is what makes her so beautiful, hair or no hair.

    Like a few have mentioned, I thought Kellie’s tweet was about some accolade Kellie had received or some type of self-promotion but this is unexpected and so touching! What a beautiful and selfless thing to do. Prayers to Summer and much love to Kellie!

    Everyone who met her always mention what a genuine sweet person she is; guess what none of them lied!!!  I used to like her as an entertainer now I respect her as a person :)

    Young women do get Breast Cancer and it’s important to be aware of this.  Wishing Summer a complete recovery.  Kellie is a sweetheart!

    Thank you, DorkAngel-GBW.  I am lucky that I had my mother in my life for as long as I did.  Just long enough to get to know her a little bit as a person and not just as my mother.  Some people get fewer years than I did with my mother.  So I can only count my blessings!
