Kellie Pickler’s video for her latest single, “Didn’t You Know I Loved You” was shot on a beautiful beach in the Dominican Republic. The rest of the video has a sunkissed, exotic glow, making me wish I was on vacation RIGHT NOW.

Watch the Video After the JUMP…

The song is OK but she looks pretty and the video is well made .

    ughhhh country is so melodramatic.

  • steve

When she is ready, she will make it on tv or movies. She has what it takes and is funny as hell.

  • PattyH

She looks gorgeous! Typical “girl got scorned” country song, but Kellie is a star.

  • hwc

Horrible song. Great legs. Preferred her other assets before the enhanced 2.0 version, although at least they will provide flotation in case of a boating accident.

I’ve been a fan of this song for a long time. It actually first appeared on Kellie’s first album. I saw her at an awards show in 2007 and mentioned that she hadn’t put out my favorite song from her album yet. She mentioned a song that was her current single and I said “No, I love ‘Didn’t You Know How Much I Love You.’” The person from her management immediately told Kellie that would make a great single. It never came out back then, but somebody must have liked it because it was included on her second album. It’s very catchy and I think country radio will play it!

I really like this song and video and I am not a huge country fan.

Kellie definately has the “it” factor and has been smart about her career since she came off Idol – good for her!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous girl – liked her better before her “enhancements”

  • abbysee

I don’t know what it is about her, but when she sings I always feel something. I like the song alot, and I love the video. She is a star. I am such a fangirl, but I adore this young lady, and I am so proud of her. She’s handled herself so well since idol.

  • Sunshinegirl

I love the video and the song! I agree though that it is a bit melodramatic :) Also agree that her enhancements are too much. She didn’t them. I guess it’s safe to say that this self-proclaimed virgin until marriage is no longer based on the lyrics of this song and the sexual innuendos of the video.

  • Letitride

Kellie is a perfect example of someone of making the most of what they have.
She doesn’t have a great voice but takes all of her other assets ( and not just her looks ) and runs with it. She’s likeable, approachable and funny – she seems real.
The fact that she was only 19 while on AI and has come this far this fast shows she is one of the smartest dumb blondes out there.
Betting country radio will play the heck out of this song and she’ll make a good chunk of change off of it.

And buying more for good measure. I really like Kellie, a bunch. I love her humor and her stage presence. I’m just not fond of her music. There’s good country out there. This ISN’T it and you won’t find it on the radio.

I think Kellie is great. And she will have a long career in country music. She has a good voice for country and has loads of personality. Plus, she is smartly associating with successful peeps in the industry who know and are succeeding in country music.

She is very, very appealing. That goes a long way.

Not a fan of country music or her voice, but I do think she uses all her assets to the best of her ability. I think the fact that she and Taylor Swift are such good friends and have toured together have given her more exposure and a boost to her career.

I’m so proud of how far Kellie has come. She doesn’t have the best voice but she has the total package and that is why she is so successful. There is just something special about her…

I like Kellie. Didn’t on the show, but she’s proven herself to be driven, smart and funny as hell. Good for her.

  • HotHotHot

Very pretty. Sings through her nose?

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

HotHotHot, yes, nasally is a form of singing. :-)

  • lifeisgood

She sounds a bit “chipmunky” at the chorus.

I kind of like the song after a couple of listens.

This makes me so happy. I loved the song on the first cd, and she mentioned that it was one of her favorites too. They re-arranged it for the 2nd cd. I’m thrilled that it’s a single and has a video!

I don’t see it as melodramatic, just a passionate song. I had the feeling that Kelly co-wrote it about a high school sweetheart, and those first loves are so passionate (at least in my day they were).

It’s so exciting to see Kellie coming into her own. I really like both of her cds very much. She has some good sensibilities about her music, but Red High Heels and her 2nd single were poor choices for singles, blame it on the label. I like her singing, love her voice, and she co-writes these songs from her heart. I’ve been a fan since the first time I saw her on Idol. Go Kellie!

  • CRB

Dreadful. I’m really not sure what the appeal is of this slice of bleached out phony bologna is supposed to be, but it escapes me.

  • BootStar

Typical overwrought pop-country cheese, but DANG if it ain’t catchy! I think this could be her biggest hit yet, and she looks gorgeous in that video. Her off-the-rack rack definitely adds to her Dolly vibe too. She doesn’t have Dolly’s talent, but she definitely has a similar joie de vivre.

I really admire Kellie’s smarts (never bought that dumb blonde routine for a nanosecond) and ambition. And she seems like she’s managed to remain a nice person to boot. I’ve always thought she’d end up with her own successful sitcom one day.

For myself, I don’t generally like country much. I like Kellie and Taylor Swift because they sound like country/pop. So most of what you call “good country” would probably not be my cup of tea, while what Kellie and Taylor do, is. To each their own.
