Katie Stevens tweeted this photo earlier today, with the note, “At lunch eating sushi with @andrewagarcia :)”

Yep. Now that Katie and Andrew Garcia are off the show, they can tweet to their hearts content.  Andrew’s address is @andrewagarcia and Katie is tweeting from @katiestevensai9.

The two will be singing a duet on The Late Show with Letterman on Monday. You can send all suggestions to @andrewagarcia.

Friday night, the two hung out with their fellow Idol Alex Lambert and the rest of the dreamers at the If I Can Dream House.  They answered twitter questions and later, jammed in the blue room.

Shirley Halperin of the LA Times took some photos which you can see Here, Here, Here, Here and Here.  Rickey live-blogged it Here.  Alex says the judges read their critiques off of a teleprompter. Heh.

Katie and Andrew are back with their Idol family this afternoon, rehearsing for this Wednesday’s  Idol Gives Back.

But but but….if the judges read their comments off a teleprompter, then how can they be based spontaneously on the actual live performance? LOL

I guess this explains Paula’s “flashfoward” review of Jason Castro’s second performance in Season 7. They loaded the teleprompter for a double review of both performances at the end, and when Ryan announced a mid-show review of performance #1, they had to show the double review, and Paula simply forgot she wasn’t supposed to read the second half of the review. LOL.

I’m ashamed to say that I watched a little of the webcast last night, but I happened to tune in as Katie was singing a song, and she sounded amazing. She never sounded like that on AI, if she had she would have been a favorite to win. She had a little attitude during the song, but it worked for her, unlike the arrogance that she showed during some weeks this season.

Sybil they’re talking about the 2 small tv monitors in the judges table. It shows them how the show looks to a tv watcher like us

I’m glad we’ll get to seem them again next week. Katie looks cute and mugging for the camera like a typical teen. I think she’s adorable.

While I hate the fact that Katie’s off the show, I’m kind of glad that she gets to do the round of press with Andrew, they seem pretty close.

    Looking forward to their duet

This show is fully scripted from beginning to coronation. It’s much better television that way. The Dunkleman quip last week…blame the writer. Didn’t like Simon’s critique of a favorite last week? Don’t blame him for anything except his delivery.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oylYr7VW1uM — Andrew playing his guitar along with Alex Lambert that night. The song is one of the handful Alex has been writing while living at the If I Can Dream house.

BTW the guy whose back is to us, doing the beats on that box, is Justin Gaston, who sang with Brooke White on the Idol stage Thursday.

CRB, this could be a topic in itself. I knew there were scripted moments; scripted jokes; edited remarks from the mentors; manipulation of mics; song suggestions which did not help the contestant – but I cannot believe every moment was scripted. I am thinking about Taylor Hicks winning Season 5 and Kris Allen winning Season 8.

Here is one of things @katiestevensai9 twittered…

I live in CT, my favorite color is green, I love David Archuleta, and Adam Lambert was an incredible mentor! Really cool!

Andrew needs to consult with Danny Gokey, and get some hipper glasses. Maybe Danny can hook him up with new glasses from his eyewear line. Seriously, those glases look like what my dad wears!
