The Red Hot Band, who played for the recent wedding of Katharine McPhee’s sister, Adrianna, uploaded a video of the American Idol alum and Smash star singing the standard, “When I Fall In Love.”

Idol musical director, Michael Orland played the piano and DWTS and American Idol warm up guy, Cory, MC’d the entire event. Katharine’s mom, Peisha sang too.

Katharine is in her sweet spot when she sings standards. What do you think of her performance? Watch below.

    Is it just me, or does the lady behind Kat (and to to ‘our’ right) kind of look like Paula? Haha…Katharine better watch out or she’ll end up with her head dangling from Paula’s rearview mirror.(PLEASE get the reference so I don’t sound like a serial killer).

    I love that old Victor Young song.  Sorry to say I’ve heard it sung much better.  It’s a very simple song that calls for very simple singing without much ornamentation such as melisma.
