Katharine McPhee has a song on the newly released Disney compilation   Tinker Bell – Songs from and Inspired by Disney Fairies. For some reason that title cracks me up. Heh.

Katharine performs “Let Your Heart Sing”.

Some of the other artists featured the compilation are Jonatha Brooke and Loreena McKennitt.

The album drops today.

Okay guys, I have a quarter, care to meet me in the middle? Well have enough by this evening! Do it for Tinkerbell!

Yep, inspired by Disney fairies….boy that inspires all kindsa mockery….

Ever hear the one about the fairy and the former idol contestant? Eh, me neither, lol.

lol @ Abbysee. Well, it’s only a matter of time before the jokes start on this one. Tinkerbell? Fairies? Too easy. Oh well, it’s all in good fun. Let the mocking begin:

*Did the fairies grant her wish for a boob job?

*Kat’s song will appear on the soundtrack for her next movie – “House Bunny II – Tinkerbell Goes Wild”

*The whole title to her song is “Let Your Heart Sing – Because Your Voice Hasn’t Been Doing Your Career Any Good Lately, So Maybe Your Heart Can Sell Some Units”

Best I can do today. Sigh.

I listened to the 30-second clips of all the songs on that cd, and man… Watch out for tooth decay listening to those babies. The Loreena McKennit one (or two — it appears to be in two pieces) sounds very different, and at least Kat’s voice is a little different (deeper), because most of the others have these chirpy, sweet little voices that are pretty much interchangeable to my ear. I guess that’s so the wee little girls can sing along in their own chirpy little voices, but I’m having a hard time believing that Kari, Selena, Ruby and Tiffany are actually different people. Where’s Jiminy Cricket (Ukelele Ike) when you need him?

    Ahhh Good ole MJ’s.

The song is well produced, Kat’s vocals are great and it is an amazing overall performance. Sure it’s Disney Cheese but it’s QUALITY Disney Cheese. The last 30 seconds of the song are simply incredible.

Take a listen it’s definitely worth the 99 cents!

I must say, the last line on the clip “when you follow, follow the voice in your heart” – I thought it was going to say “follow the voice in your head”! LOL. She sounds the same as ever. I don’t have kids so I’m not up on Disney music. Seems fairly syrupy.

So no takers for helping me with a download? Somewhere Tinkerbell weeps!

Wow. I think I know where Victoria Principal’s previous face went.

Another Katharine McPhee vocal master work. And I’m only half kidding, but I did buy it.

  • Grammie Kari

Still the most beautiful girl to appear on American Idol. Her voice left more to desire.
