Kat’s acting was very good , such a talented girl! Can’t wait for The Pink House, love her. Her performance on Leno was great, one of my favorites so far for Terrified.

NO, Did Benami should not, that song is Kat’s, and she is amazing when she sings, don’t like her look here, but she is in transition back to brown, so all is forgiven. Love her so much. <3

I remember in another post someone complaining how MJ didn’t post a certain video of Katherine. I find her so boring, and I always chuckle when I see the posts on here about her get like..3 or so comments. Ah well..It’s cool she has a few fans I guess.

Sorry to say but she has no fan base anymore and the few that
are still there rip her to pieces from her hair, her clothes to her music. Maybe she will do good in acting who knows.

Katharine has a strong base, Myspace over 122,645 Friends, 2500 Followers on Twitter, and her original fanbase site 4,777.

I know tons of people who are Katharine fans, so that’s just a false statement.

If she has so many fans, why isn’t she selling albums?

Kat does not need to sell alot of music to be successful. She as earned the respect of ppl in the music industry. As you all know Kat has been invited to perform at numerous prestigious events and take part in shows along side well-known artists. Her label believes in her and has allowed her to pursue other interests on the side. IMO, the sale of CDs will come.

Verve was very disappointed in her debut album sales.
Her single went nowhere and is falling off the AC chart after failing to gain radio support.
Verve is in the business to sell cds.

Popped in to say that I love this woman. She is gorgeous and talented and I adore her!

Why are people arguing? Why are we repeating ourselves about music success? We get it. Must you post that she’s a failure on every post about her? And I was the one who complained about her things not being posted because I just found it unfair. But it’s fine. Kat is a beautiful woman who is multi-talented, I don’t think you can discredit that talent just because she’s not quote on quote “successful”

Love her or hate her, you can consider Kat Mcphee’s post idol career as quite productive, busy and successful.

Her album’s first single, “Over It”, was a Pop Top 30 hit and was certified Gold in 2008. Not as great as Carrie Underwood but not bad at all.

Her sophomore album, Unbroken was released on Verve Forecast Records on January 5, 2010 and debuted at #27 on the Billboard 200.
Not bad at all.

Her studio acting debut in the comedy The House Bunny (formerly known as I Know What Boys Like), co-starring as one of the few members of a misfit sorority.

You already know of her guess appearances on the TV series — COMMUNITY.

In 2009, Kat landed a lead role in a romantic-comedy, tentatively titled You May Not Kiss the Bride. The budget was set at $6 million. The movie filmed for 5 weeks in March and April 2009 in Oahu, Hawaii. Kat plays the role of Masha, alongside Dave Annable. The film is scheduled to be released sometime this year.

Then we have Kat making her TV pilot debut in a new comedy show for NBC “The Pink House.” She will play Emily, a down-to-earth Midwest girl new to Manhattan Beach. The pilot will be shot as a possible pickup for the Fall 2010 season and is being produced by Conan O’Brien’s production company, with O’Brien as executive producer.

Aside from that, Kat signed a two-year endorsement deal with Neutrogena to become the new spokesperson for their anti-acne skin-care product line. She already filmed her first commercial, which began airing on television in and on Neutrogena’s skinid.com website.

We of course know that she’s one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the stage of Idol.

Katwas named one of the year’s 100 Most Beautiful People by People; she was photographed with no make-up on.

She was also voted #2 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in The World of 2007 and #47 on Maxim’s Hot 100 Women of 2007.

At the end of 2007, AOL Readers placed her as the Number 1 Sexiest American Idol contestant ever. In 2008 she was voted #38 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in The World and #43 on AskMen.com’s Top 99. In 2009 she was voted number #64 on AskMen.com’s Top 99.

And of course, Kat founded a charity called McPhee Outreach. The purpose of the charity is to team up with other foundations or organizations and help in any way possible.

The foundation teamed up with The Lollipop Theater Network to provide music outreach (called “Rhythm of Hope”) to sick children in Southern California hospitals.

McPhee Outreach teamed up with Global Compassion Services to build a preschool in the poor West African nation of Burkina Faso to help combat that nation’s high illiteracy rate.

Whats all that got to do with her music not selling?
Verve is apparently not going to release another single, anytime soon.
That’s why I said , maybe she will do ok with acting. Who knows I don’t.

Well, who was the one who said “Sorry to say but she has no fan base anymore” ?

If she had no fanbase and her records were not selling ( as you put it ) , recording companies would not be spending money producing her records.

She sold over 350,000 units of her first record and the jury is still out on the second. What’s over 350,000 ? chopped liver ?

And the fact that people are still flocking to her website and producers want her as an acting does not validate the point you made that she has “no fanbase”.

Verve PR…I’m not saying it’s a huge disappointment, or a failure, or anything that strong: I had just hoped for a higher debut week, that’s all. But no one here is despairing — as I keep saying, this is just the beginning. We have a very long-term plan for Kat that includes more TV, a long build at radio, lots more web promotion, press, and touring.

Kat Unbroken CD has been selling and the single ‘Terrified’ has done extremely well on Itunes.

The Verve rep who made that statement to the fans, both her and her husband were fired from Verve soon after. Apparently she had no
authority to make such a statement to appease the fans.

End of story. Again maybe she will have a career in acting or do theater. Goodnight and pleasant dreams.

You’re going to have to change the name of this thread! I got laid off by Verve today. It was nothing personal: there were cuts all across Universal. It sucks, and I’m really sad at the moment (i loved my job, and loved all of my friends at Verve, who really are the best in the biz), but I’m going to be ok,. (Side note, R. is already employed as a consultant.)

Kat no doubt will have a career in acting, theater , of course, as well as a singing artist. The opportunities are there starting with a new TV pilot, ‘The Pink House’, which she starts taping at the end of of March and a new movie that was filmed in Hawaii last year that is schedule to be release sometime this year. BTW, Katharine’s concert tour begins in April. She is a busy gal and her fans are proud she is able to pursue her dreams.
