Kara Dioguradi dropped by Good Day New York for an interview this morning where she talked about Idol, her wedding ring dilemma, her “cozy’ relationship with Simon (fake, just like Simon’s recent “dustup” with Ryan), her dad’s senate run and her allergies.

    “I have mentor talent my whole career” Really? I though you were a songwriter who couldn’t make it as a pop star.
    This is my problem with Kara, as much as she tell the kids to be real, connect with songs, and be believable, I don’t believe anything she says. Whether I agree or not, I just don’t believe it.

    People are way too tough on Kara. I love how she speaks with such ease and her body language. She is just so insightful and unlike other people, I think she is totally believable. She’s seriously awesome… and I can say that from personal experience of meeting her.

    Just saw Kara on the Jimmy Fallon Show and she did a nice interview. She was also at ease with Ted Danson who visits Idol regularly with his wife, Mary. Ted remembered Siobhan’s name but forgot Crystal’s. Uh, oh. Kara couldn’t say it, but Ted said it is between these two girls.

    Kara seemed nice enough.

    I thought the interviews were fine. She really doesn’t bug me like she does others. I prefer her to Paula by a long shot and think she’s doing a lot better this season.
