After more racist remarks were aired on last night’s edition of Big Brother 15, the ladies of The Talk, including BB’s host, Julie Chen had more to say today on the subject.
After airing the clip of Aaryn and GinaMarie taunting black castmate Candice, Julie said, “My heart is pounding. Am I the only one who feels so enraged? This is the third time I’ve watched that clip, and it does not get any easier. I think it shows us all that in 2013, race is still a deeply, deeply personal issue and it is so extremely hurtful. And unless you have ever been on the receiving issue end of it, you simply do not know what it’s like to walk a mile in someone’s shoes.”
“Aaryn, in my opinion, has no clue what it’s like to be on the receiving end,” Julie added. “I think she’s ignorant, I think she’s young, and I think she’s immature. I hope she watches that and is as appalled as we all are.”
I doubt she’ll get it. Aaryn has shown herself to be totally clueless about her own behavior. But she’ll be in for a big surprise when she’s out of the house, as Aisha Tyler, reminded the audience that the student has lost her modeling contract and a gig she had representing a petite modeling search contest. Also, that’s going to be one AWKWARD sit down when Aaryn is finally evicted from the house.
