She did alright. Martina McBrideà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s version blew Jordinà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s out of the water though. But, thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s probably to be expected.

Jordin, being from Glendale, Arizona, was the obvious choice when it came to singing the National Anthem, both at the playoff this year and the Superbowl last year. She has an excellent instrument, gives the song meaning, and entertains the crowd, much as David Archuleta does. This song is hellish to sing, the high notes are above most everyone’s range, and the phrasing is very difficult. Kudos to anyone who sings it well , whatever the style.

Arizonans respect and admire Jordin Sparks, and I love the fact that at 19 she is doing so well in the recording industry. Her album has sold very well and her singles (duets) have seen remarkable stayability. I’m glad she is out there representing the normal girl (not the size 0 starlets who the media holds up to be the epitomy of womanhood). She is beautiful inside and out and I know she will have a much deserved successful future.

Believe it or not my all time favorite Anthem done by an Idol is Anthony Fedorov when he sang it at the NY Knicks game.

Anyone with a half-way decent voice can sing it. Now, whether or not they sing it well is a whole other story.

… Or, whether anyone could bear to listen… VERY difficult song to sing, imo.

Yeah she and Archie are two of the few people I know who can pull this song off and do it justice. I still prefer Archie singing it the most though.

Uh no. This is not an easy song to sing at all. Halfway decent voice just won’t cut it. You need to have some major vocal chops to sing this song.

Jordan is a good singer and a sweet girl. The Superbowl one was good this one big thumbs down on this one .Jordan oversang the NA a bit with added vocal gynastics andgoing for the diva notes . A pet peeze diva notes and vocals gymnastics creating thier version of NA the original just fine. Seeing Jordan jumping up and down wasa bit awkard Jordan is a pro now.Just sing the song it is a football game..

Sidenote-singing NA is a bit of a bigger deal last year Jordan because of certain cercumstances nothing to do with her singing.This year Jennifer Hudson is singing it and it is on NBC not fox hopefully no Secrest red carpet.
