Jordin Sparks and John Mayer Perform Together For Charity

John Mayer loves him some Jordin Sparks!

Mayer and Jordin performed together Thursday night aboard the Carnival Splendor cruise ship, docked in the Port of Los Angeles.

It was all about benefiting music programs in public schools for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

Also performing were Gavin Rossdale, O.A.R., Sara Bareilles, Guster and Erin McCarley.

After the jump, Entertainment Weekly interviews John Mayer, who waxes poetic about Jordin. “She’s extremely talented,” Mayer says, “She’s going to be around for awhile.”

Jordin is set to begin a 50 date tour with the Jonas Brothers this summer.

And, John Mayer will be twittering TMI any time now.

    LOL John Mayer’s tweets are hilarious. I just recently started using my twitter account regularly and am following him, and he routinely cracks me up. There was one about a fanny pack a couple days ago that had me lolling at work. Heh.

    I am such a jellus h8r of Jordin right now lol. I LOVE John Mayer.

    Yeah, John Mayer really loves him some Jordin. I remember him blogging about how much he liked “Tattoo” when it first came out. LOL.

    And DAYUM, she’s one lucky girl to get to sing with John Mayer, and tour with Alicia Keys and the Jonas Brothers.

    They look fabulous together. She should always perform with guys over 6 feet.

    Jordin can go from looking lovely to looking like a whale depending on what outfit she’s wearing. She doesn’t always have the best choice in clothes (half the time she’s downright HIDEOUS), but she looks pretty in THAT dress.

    It is good that Jordin is getting all kinds of exposure. I didn’t find her singing that good on the show, but recent TV appearances has shown growth as a singer.

    John Mayer is a handsome dude, I am just not sure about his personality. Maybe he is a nice guy?

    Jordin is such a beauty. I think she has one of the best voices around today. She is a total beauty. I did notice that when I watch John Mayer sing in videos he also does that that crooked mouth singing thing that Kris Allen does…lol So does Jason Mraz, maybe that goes along with the guitar playing balladeers.
