Jon Peter Lewis posts the next installment of his “pseudo talk show” American Nobody

The first half of the show is JPL’s recap of Wednesday’s Idol results show with JPL imitating all the voices against a backdrop of badly-drawn sketches. It is hilarious. Trust me. (eta: bjames in comments says it’s a ripoff of teen girl squad from homestarrunner.com, but still funny. ha ha)

The second half is an interview with veteran A&R guy Don Grierson. Not really funny, but kind of interesting, nonetheless.

    Normally I would not tolerate Jason Mraz mocking, but JPL’s new “lyrics” were pretty funny.

    I love that Paula (and most everyone) sounded like Michael Jackson.

    As much as I was amused by the show, I have to say that JPL should stop with the jokes already when he’s interviewing the A&R guy. The funny “commercial” breaks and all just feels like he’s not fully respecting Don or giving him his due. Or maybe, he should separate the recap from the interview because they’ve totally different vibes.
