I agree with lefty that Danny would be awesome in that role. I would normally say give that job to Michael Johns, just so I could see his gorgeous mug more often, but he has a better career than THAT going on!

What about Jason Yeager? I always thought he seemed like a really nice guy. Nice smile too.

Awww, I’m going to miss JD! I always enjoyed his interviews with the booted Idols. They didn’t give Gina much of a chance did they? Last year was her first season on AI Extra, and I enjoyed her too. I won’t be missing Constantine and really look forward to seeing Ace on my TV. I think he has the personality for a show like this. But Jillian???? Really??? Why her? She is rude and obnoxious. I don’t see what she will bring to the show, except a lot of complaints from the booted Idols’ fans.

Jillian = well, not so good. I liked JD. He always seemed to try to put the bootees at ease, whereas I think Jillian will enjoy putting them on the spot.

This is a really good point. I remember Jillian on Good Day Live when it was syndicated across the country. She could be really nasty about the Idols she thought deserved to be eliminated.

Poor John Stevens, the way she talked about that kid! lol.

I agree that Ace is a great casting choice. He is personable, funny, and friendly and the camera just loves him. I think he is a natural at this kind of thing.

As for Jillian, I’ve never seen anything else she has done, so I’m withholding judgment.

I’ve never heard of Jillian, so I am clueless about her. I’m happy for Ace, but I won’t be able to see it as I don’t get the show.

Hopefully, Jillian will take the time to watch AI instead of continuing to be a mindless rubber stamp for Simon Cowell, whom she adores.

Jillian got married 2 years ago — she is now Jillian Reynolds — and has a baby daughter, Ruby, which has mellowed her just a bit. But she is still abrasive, under-informed and over-opinionated.

I liked JD too. He did his homework on the Idols (or maybe he was a fanatic fan too) so he asked good questions in the final interviews. It would have been cool for some of his segments to actually be shown on A.I., b/c they gave a glimpse of the contestants’ true personality… but of course A.I. would never do that P

I like and will miss JD. Congrats to Ace and Jillian. Nice to see Ace further branching out. I really like Jillian. I know that she’s extremely annoying at times but I still like her. Have for years.

I thought Constantine and Gina did fine, although I did find JD boring. Jillian will be much more animated and livelier than JD.
