Jessica Sanchez is in the Philippines to perform a Valentines Day concert (set for tomorrow) in Manilla, with fellow Idol, Colton Dixon, as her opener.

Watch Jessica perform her song “Jump In” at the Smart “Jump In” bash. The tune was released in the Philippines in October, and was a collaboration with Black Eyed Pea Api.de.Ap. Watch the duo’s music video HERE.

     I don’t think this song will be on her album. This is part of a marketing campaign by a Filipino Telecom company “Smart”. She’s being going round colleges and schools marketing their products and performing this song. I don’t know but it seems like a huge marketing campaign by the company and I hope Jessica is making a lot of money out of the deal.

    The rap portion was sung by Apl.de.ap of Black Eye Peas.  This is a good way to promote her concert and upcoming album.  She should be getting lot of fans/followers from these universities.  UP an UST are pretigious universities in the Philippines.

    SMART is the Philippines’ biggest cell phone network in terms of subscribers and coverage, and major sponsor of Jessica’s concert. The school where the video was taken (University of Santo Tomas) is Asia’s oldest and largest Catholic university. Jessica is also scheduled to visit another big campus, the University of the Philippines, where there is a school fair going on. Yes, it is a huge marketing campaign by the telco and the talent fee should be in the vicinity of six figures in dollars (at least 5M in pesos).

    Oh, I really like this song. It sounds so commercial and I hope it is on her album. This will the album I am looking forward to when it comes to any idol.
