Jeremy Rosado has a nice, sweet tone to his voice. I think he is someone who would give very solid performances on the show because of his strong voice, but I don’t see him as very relevant. Every season needs a few solid singers who may not have commercial appeal but can give reliably good performances week in and week out though.

    Relevant? Umm, searching for relevant contestants on American Idol is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

    Judging by his looks he will be likely cast as a fodder. At least that’s my gut feeling. I think TPTB are mostly pimping WGWG and quirky types.

    What he’s singing in the second song is a pretty far cry from gospel. Gospel =/= contemporary Christian music, it’s a separate genre and culture of music that happens to be associated with the same religion. CCM has a lot more commonalities with pop music than gospel does, so I can see him translating okay to a secular platform. I can also see him translating poorly, but I’m pretty sure he’ll be better than Jacob Lusk.

    It isn’t an Idol season, without a church singer. Unless the throw hinm completely under the bus, I expect he’ll easily make the top 13. And like most church singers on Idol, he’ll last way longer than he should.

    Joshua L. is this year’s gospel singer. Even when he tries to sing Rihanna or Adele, he reverts to gospel singing…so no place for Jeremy, I think.

    There will be an audience for his music.  Where he gets into the TOP 10 will depend on song selection.  Maybe personality will help in going further?

    Jacob could be over the top, but he had a very strong deep tone and at the same time an amazing range. This guy…just no.
