Jennifer Hudson Wins Two NAACP Image Awards, Performs With Ne-Yo (VIDEO)

Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson who won two NAACP Image awards tonight. Her “Where You At” music video earned Outstanding Music Video and she also nabbed the Outstanding Album Award for “I Remember Me”.

Jennifer was not only in attendance to accept her awards, she also performed “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with Ne-Yo.

The NAACP Image Awards honor outstanding people of color in film, television, music, and literature. The 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards aired Friday Night on NBC.

    It seems Jennifer has gotten the respect of the movie and music community.  I am happy for her.  I hope she has a good life.

    I think that they kept showing George Lucas because he’s producing a feature film on the Tuskegee Airmen called “Red Tails”, and he had to put up his own money to finance and distribute the film because he couldn’t get backing for a movie with an all-black cast from anyone in Hollywood.  Video of George talking about this here:

    I thought her dress was just weird and didn’t do much for her other than the colour of blue. But more important, what did she have on her feet? They looked like those crazy high platform things. And if so why? She towered over Ne-Yo and while he was jumping around, she seemed stuck to her spot. I enjoyed the singing but was distracted by  wondering if she was going to fall over if she tried to move.

    Jennifer looks heavier because she is standing next to someone who is actually thin and small boned…not a put down on Jenn but she is a big girl with a heavy frame, just how she is built.  And the dress was certainly fugly, and true, the gal can’t move at all….she almost always just stands and sings.  But then I’m not a Jennifer fan so her style rarely impresses me.

    But I do love Neyo’s trilby…and the guy can sing and entertain at the same time.

    Jennifer looked beautiful!  I love NeYo and Usher and he sound similar.  I like NeYo better though.  Jen actually looks like she’s learned to share the stage on this one.

    That’s a good performance by both.  I like Neyo’s voice and Jennifer Hudson was my favorite her season. Them singing that classic Motown song reminds me of idol performances, and Jennifer knows about that.

    Wow Jennifer towers over Ne-yo. I wonder how tall he is? Jennifer looks like a goddess.

    Never have liked Jennifer, the person.  Just don’t like her demeanor and vibes.  I think she can sing but her voice is not unique.  Don’t like the way she, and the other really tall Hollywood girls, wear the high stilletos and tower over all the guys.  What’s with that?  Hate her WW commercials and turn them off when they come on.  I don’t think she was ever a size 6 cause she is a big woman.

    Jhud and Ne-Yo delivers once again with such grace and class. Love it when two great artist with amazing voices do it like no others. We need you guys to work togather more and more!!!
