Jennifer Hudson’s new single “Spotlight” is a fun, catchy R&B/pop flavored tune, currently climbing the Billboard R&B charts (#49 this week).

    Whoa. I pretty much loathe R&B and that song is pretty amazing. I can’t see her not having a hit with that song, and her voice sounds awesome. Color me impressed, JHud.

    Wish the hook were a touch more memorable but the song should make a nice remix version in the hands of the right dj.

    I love this song. It’s got a great retro-vibe, but it’s totally current. I think it will be a big hit. Better than Leona’s song, IMO.

    The video is pretty good but I think the Campari detracts from it. Really takes you out of the story line. I like the song and am looking forward to hearing more. Always did like her voice so if the songs are good, I’ll be buying it!

    I love her great voice, but I admit it’s also about JHud having the gorgeous big figure and the pretty and assertive yet vulnerable air–in Dreamgirls, how much did I want her character to triumph over the annointed, polished rival who grabbed the man and the spotlight? Yeah, I know it’s a storyline, but I go for it. I just bought her song.

    I thought this was a great video and Jennifer looked amazing. I fell in love with her from the moment she belted à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“You Donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t Share Your Love With Meà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  at her audition and when others told me they hated her I kept telling people she was special. After the season ended and she got a little low key I still bought her singles off her website for 99cents each because I thought she was amazing. Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m glad sheà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s gotten so much attention and every accolade.
