Oh thanks Mj, this young man brings me back to my sweet side – lol – after going to bat for Adam all day – it is nice to see this bright and beautiful face. Love him and hope he does well – he is so deserving of it

OHHH MJ – you can go see him in Boston, PJ in Chicago, maybe? darn it – he is not coming this way yet!

omg I drive by one of those places a lot!!!

    “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”

  • Jolene

How is his single doing, anyone knows? I haven’t been keeping track lately.

  • Grammie Kari

Jason will be at The Ark (Ann Arbor, Mich.) in February. I’d like to hook up with some friends I made from Michigan. I don’t know anything about this place but would love to see him!

  • justantonio

are these big venues? I hope these are full band gigs

Shubas is a small but widely respected Chicago club. I CANNOT WAIT.

ETA: I’ve also been to Joe’s Pub in NYC. Again, a great venue for music.

Sumi, I will be there! :-)

  • Tess

Looks like he is playing at Clubs….I would think 500 peeps would be maximum and that depends on if they serve food or only liquor.

Good for you Pj, I am glad you get to see him – pictures I want pictures, pretty please? :-)

  • tierbee

Jammin Java here in Northern VA is a small venue/cafe. Perfect fit for him, though, they really go for the whole singer/songwriter vibe. I’ve never been there because my artist I managed is… a rapper. But this might get me in there, I’d love to check out his set.

I wasn’t a fan when he was on the show, but Jason won me over when I saw him live on the AI tour. He is really awesome live. Jason is another example of an artist that can just take over and command the stage with nothing more than his voice and a guitar. And, I know this is shallow, but the guy is beautiful in person. He is also very sweet and personable. He did some very sweet and memorable things for his fans while touring.

Shuba’s has a capacity of about 250, I’d guess. Great for shows. Been there a million times. It has a back room for bands, plus an attached restaurant called Harmony. Drinks only where the bands play. Love it. I can get there on the bus really quickly, too. ;-)

Joe’s Pub is also small. I saw Toshi Reagon there once when passing through NYC. Awesome.

I think these venues will suit Jason perfectly. Great start for him.

  • brie200

I’ve got my ticket for Joe’s Pub. He’s touring with Matt Hires, also an Atlantic artist. I think there are more tour dates to come for the West. I’m excited cause these are the type of venues that are totally perfect for him.

  • oceana

I see he’s opening for someone else at Jammin Java and it’s a stand-up place. Maybe I’ll see him and then go home. Don’t want to stay out that late on a Monday and stand up for hours. But I’d love to see Jason.

  • poporange

Great Pj can’t wait to see the good pictures :)
7th street entry in minneapolis been there? Not really fond of that club not going ..Why not MOA crap we get PAlin but no Jason..

Sumidol and Pj have a happy ThanksGiving..

Cafe 939 is also small but it’s part of the Berklee College of Music in Boston so they get all kinds of acts, including students at the college. My fav coffee mugs are from Cafe 939, LOL.

Good luck Jason. He still makes me smile.

  • LovelyLady

I might go to the Cafe 939 in Boston. Jersy…tell me more about the venue! Driving to Boston in January on a weeknight though…boo! I wanna goooo though.

  • jersey

It’s on Boylston street in the Back Bay. Very nice area. It’s kind of like a coffee shop atmosphere. I forget if they serve drinks or not, since it’s part of the college. I haven’t actually attended a show there, just been in for coffee when my son was attending a summer program at the college. I don’t know where you’re coming from but there is a very close subway stop on Mass ave. I’m sure there’s a lot of parking in the area too, since it’s only about a mile from Fenway Park.

It’s possible MJ can tell you more about the venue itself, since she’s in the area.

I see he’s opening for someone else at Jammin Java and it’s a stand-up place. Maybe I’ll see him and then go home.

I’ve never been there but my sister said it’s a really nice little venue. We might go… we both like Jason and while we don’t follow him closely now I think it would be a cool show. I’m going on an Idol tear… Cookie next week, hopefully Elliott 1/2 and then Jason?

  • JRB5776

Why, why, why do these people insist on the Bottleneck in Lawrence? It’s the suckiest of suckiest venues IMO. It’s why I didn’t go to Brooke’s and Michael’s gig there even though it’s like 45 minutes away. I DETEST that place! Grrrrrr! The Granada there would be great! I actually like that place. I’d actually go. (sigh)

  • lifeisgood

Good to see he has some club/bar dates set up. I’m not really a fan of Matt Hires – don’t like his voice that well.
I was hoping Jason could tour with Serena Ryder. Maybe that could still happen, she’s with Atlantic too and I love her voice.

  • gabam

I’m excited for Jason’s tour. More tour dates will be posted sometimes this week. The tour doesn’t end until sometimes in March. Hopefully, Jason will headline his own tour soon. I think that Atlantic usually starts their artists as openers for tours before giving them their own headlining tours. Makes sense to me.

  • tinydance

Jason has a very smooth unique voice. Good luck Jason. Jason had some of the most outstanding moments on Idol during season 7.

  • jersey

This thread may be dead but here’s a link to Cafe 939 which is where Jason will be performing in Boston.

Jason Castro has released his tour schedule, Allison has released a video, and the winner of idol, Kris Allen, did a song and an interview on Ellen. And the AI fandom is concentrating on someone’s head being pulled into someone’s crotch and a boy on boy kiss. Guess I need to tell these other Idols to sex it up big time if they want any kind of attention. Who was it that said Sex sales?
