    He is definitely a cutie.

  • http://kristentheyellowlab.blogspot.com/ Zsus

That sounds like something the Brady Bunch would sing on the escalator at Sears. WTF?

  • primeminister

It says: Released September 08, 2009….huh?

  • just sayin

    I like it!

  • uncgirl

Wow Zsus, I’m just not hearing that Brady Bunch sound.
I love the song and I hated the Brady Bunch songs.
I do hear a 60′s sound to the song. It is a fun song and I think it will sell.

  • http://kristentheyellowlab.blogspot.com/ Zsus

Just my opinion, uncgirl. I find it embarrassing. Which doesn’t mean it won’t be a huge hit, by any means.

  • LexyLi

    Loving it! :)

  • lakers24

That sounds like something the Brady Bunch would sing on the escalator at Sears. WTF?

I thought the same thing too, totally reminded me of the Brady Bunch.

  • uncgirl

I know it was just an opinion, Zsus,
    no need to explain.
Mine is just an opinion too.
But I really do think it will do well and so will his album. He has some great songs on that album and I for one can’t wait to buy it.

  • http://www.dallascowboys.com GeminiDolly

This is just how I imagined a Jason Song would sound like. I hope he does well.

  • LovelyLady

Jason makes me happy. This song makes me even happier. Love it. Bought it. Will buy the album too.

  • rockvixen

what? so Jason’s album is to be released around the same time as Adam’s and Kris. Should be interesting to see who sells. ahem my bet is on the latter two selling. Not a fan of Jason and I knew I wouldn’t like the song and I didn’t.

  • MatureAdamFan

Jason is definitely so adorable. This song is quite cute — It does not really compare to most of the songs that he sang on Idol, but those were songs he covered. I am wishing him the very best for both this single and his album. He was my favorite last year — quite an opposite from my favorite this year; but I do like many, many styles of music.

  • uncgirl

rockvixen, I’m sure Jason will do just fine. Why are we comparing him to Adam and Kris?

  • babe

Wish I could buy it but it’s not available in my country. I have pre-ordered his album anyway. He has better songs in the album like “It Matters To Me” and “That’s What I’m Here For” but “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again” is a fun song so it could be a hit. Hope Jason does well. He’s a very talented guy.

  • cookie

I love it! Great tune! Good Luck Jason!

  • HannaB4

Radio friendly, geared toward the younger crowd, different than what I expected but undeniably Jason. :)

  • Tatiana

I bought the song, love Jason! :mrgreen_wp:

That said, I do kinda see where some of you guys are coming from. I imagined Jason’s sound to be a beachy/breezy/latin fusion….I wouldn’t say Brady Bunch, but to me this song does have a bit of a Partridge Family feel

  • uncgirl

I like the Partridge Family and the Monkeys and guess what is big now with the young kids…..retro.
I really don’t think he sounds like the Brady Bunch, that was just corny music.
Once again this is just my opinion.
Most of the songs on his album will have a different sound…. this is just a first single to catch people’s attention. It caught my attention and it is fun.
His album will be great and I just can’t wait.

  • holeighannie

Finally!! I love this song more every time I listen to it. As I’ve said before, it just makes me so happy! :D

The comparison to Kris and Adam is interesting to me, haha. They just got done with Idol, of course they are more on the radar than Jason, it’s not really a fair contest.

  • http://randomizeme.wordpress.com arca

Someone made Jason’s song into an iPod commercial – and I gotta say – it has the perfect vibe for it. Link to view. Calling Apple???

  • breakdown

This is a breezy song and fits Jason’s style. Good luck Jason!

  • Suzanne

I like it and bought it. But I am a bit concerned for Jason. It’s a cute, retro song with some nice hooks, but it sounds like a one-hit wonder to me.

  • Valentin432

Will be interesting to see how Jason will do.

    Radio friendly

I’m out of the loop, but what is the radio plan for this song? Has it gone for adds already? I don’t see it listed for future adds on AllAccess. Is this just for the internet audience? I seem to recall reading somewhere that he will be doing a radio tour. Will he be promoting this song or another song?

So, far, radio isn’t really responding (4 spins in the last two weeks. Last week, it was spun by CKZZ in Vancouver, Canada and KHOP in Modesto, California). That’s not really surprising if the song hasn’t been released to radio and his label hasn’t started pushing it. But, why not try pushing it before sending it to iTunes? What is the strategy here?

Anyway, fun song. I like bouncy songs.

  • Studio57

Holy crap- that Itunes commercial was PERFECT for that song, lol.
My 12 year old absolutely loves this song. And I think it is the perfect guilty pleasure song. I’m downloading it, and the rest of his album when it comes out. Love Jason- he was my guy last year!

  • MtnLaurel

Very catchy! I have heard some of his other new songs and liked them better, stylistically, but this song is very radio friendly. I bought it.

  • MrsB

ooh MJ I like your new look, even tho reading comments is more difficult for me…just may have to invest in a pair of reading glasses because it will be well worth the investment!!

I’m not a buy for his single as I liked his live performance better but as soon as you post his album I’m a go!!

Your new server & IT package, etc. is fab….it works so much faster for me now…..even with the few hiccups this morning!! :)

  • gabam

I like it. I bought it too. I’ve loved Jason since “Daydream” and I’m loving what the new songs that I’ve heard from his upcoming CD. Can’t wait for Jason’s CD. He makes me happy.

  • jpfan

Jason should think about a career in children’s music. Seriously.

This print is so teeny tiny. I’m assuming it’ll get bigger coz it’s tough to read.

  • gabam

MJ, you have Jason’s record label incorrectly listed as “Universal” but Jason is signed with “Atlantic Records”. Please correct. Thanks.

Holy crap- that Itunes commercial was PERFECT for that song, lol.

It is it makes for a very cute ad.

It’s a happy summery song imo. Lovely for that hot Sunday morning at the beach or picnic in the park. It’s bouncy, cheerful and very fell good. I could see it used in a Richard Curtis film.

I think it will do very well.

  • Studio57

It is very feel good, Sunn- alot like Jason Mraz’ “I’m Yours”, but it is a little too Cowsills/Partridge/Brady. I think the whistling probably brings it down a notch, especially after I heard the original song by the writer on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ur2wtN7nMk) but hey, we all love our guilty pleasures and I have a feeling this will be one for alot of people. I can totally see me playing this in the car when it’s just me and my 12 year old. Any chance to bond with her over something other than Miley or the JoBros is A- okay in my book, lol.

Can you give me the name if the writer so I an do a search? Thanks.

Hey, with this new format, I can reply directly to you Studio57.

The writer in the vid you linked describes the song as a “lollipop jungle jim kinda song” I think that’s right on the money.

I love the writer’s voice, by the way. And I like that he does a more rockier rendition of the song. Ya I think I like his version much better than Castro’s.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Jae

Minus the whistling, which I hope is gone in the radio edit, I like this song a lot. It really sticks in your head. I think the younger demographic (Jason’s own age group) as well as slightly older fans will really like it.

  • https://twitter.com/draddee Sunn

    OMG! Multiple posts galore!!!

This new format is frelling with my brain.

Anyway, no copyright infringement and fixed the URL, watched the video and liked it.

Thanks Studio57, sorry chaps for all the confusion.

  • movin2thabeet

I’m also getting a Bobby Sherman/Monkees, David Cassidy/Partridge Family vibe from this song without the smirk that often accompanied their corny songs. Retro? Well only if they add an interesting contemporary take on the style. This song does none of that. Its simple earnest cheese. I don’t see it going far up on the radio charts.

I get a chuckle when Idol fans rank their faves as equals or better than successful artists. Yes, Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson also play simpler gentler songs and I love alot of their stuff. But putting Castro at that level right now is all just wishful thinking. I don’t think his sound or musical skills are anywhere near these guys. He might get there someday, but based on what I’ve heard so far, he’s got a long way to go. But hey, the guy is brand spanking new to playing front man with a guitar in a band.

Just because he showed up on a primetime TV reality show does not mean he is ready for a primetime place in the music scene. It’s exactly that presumption that’s responsible for the stigma that all Idol alum have to face. Taking the song on its own merits, I thinks its amateurish, but we’ll see how it all plays out. Idol artists might be branded but they also have a huge leg up compared to other struggling artists.

  • Jae

When the song was previewed, Jason had said that the song would not likely be available to the radio stations until the first couple of weeks in Sept or something like that.

  • Jae

Good point. When you are like 22 you have lots of time to grow as an artist. I think Jason is on his way.

  • brie200

I’d think Atlantic has a plan. It’s not as if they are newbies to the music industry or a label that has the reputation of not knowing what they’re doing. But I wouldn’t expect the song to have many radio plays yet when it hasn’t yet been released to radio. I’m not saying it will be a hit because who really knows what will happen, but his radio tour is supposedly set to start next week. Which means in likelyhood that is when it will be released to radio.

The only things I know is radio tour is approx. 6 weeks and he’s filming a music vid sometime in the next week or so, which he was casting for this past weekend.

I won’t say too much on the single since we’ve already had discussion threads here for that. I like it. I do see the Monkee type feel. It’s fun, it’s summery. But I wouldn’t expect all of Jason’s album to be in this vein.

  • uncgirl

Jae, I agree he is on his way up and he has Atlantic to back him. Look at what Atlantic has done for Jason Mraz.

  • Studio57

movin2thabeet- Saying the song has a vibe similar to “I’m Yours” is not saying Jason Castro is the next Jason Mraz, only that they both are kind of fun summer songs. “I’m Yours” is my favorite song to listen to while I am floating in the pool, it instantly puts me in a good mood and just makes me smile. This song kind of does the same for me, once I get past the whistling.

I gotta agree though, Sunn- I think I like the original better because it’s more stripped down, but I could imagine if Jason does the same thing as that guy while he is on stage, it would be one of those fun singalong songs for his tour.

  • brie200

I think it’s silly to compare Jason to established artists right now. Of course he has more work to do. He’s young and new to the business. Though it is nice seeing Jason Mraz’s name below Jason’s on Atlantic’s artist roster, but that’s about where the comparison ends.

FWIW, the song is moving up the iTunes Pop chart at present. Last I heard it was somewhere around 50. I don’t expect it to shoot up to the top of the regular charts though unless Atlantic pays for some sort of ad space on the front page (as they had for Brooke). Just in the sense that promotion of the single hasn’t really even started.

  • haruhi

I like it. It’s a happy song. The crazy ideas in the song are fun; WTF? suggestions but sweet.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

Cool. I will buy it when I get home tonight.

  • Studio57

Well, this will be fun watching it chart today- it’s at #42 on the POP chart. He will have to get around #20-#30 on the POP chart to make the main OVERALL chart.

Just Dance is #26 on the POP chart/ #85 on MAIN
Here We Go Again ( Demi Lovato) is #28 on POP chart/ #90 on MAIN

He’s actually closing in on Come Back To Me on the pop chart ( #38)

  • AIaddict

I love Jason. Loved his Hallelujah and SOTR on AI7. I was really looking forward to his new album but this single to me is not good. I’m not liking it and hope the rest of the cd is better than this single. Jason is capable of better,IMHO.

  • http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=iamthepurplewalrus&view=videos purplesmile

It looks like it’s going to be a long, hard climb for Jason. I wish him luck.

The song grew on me…I hope it does on others, too. :)

  • Studio57

It’s at #34 now on the POP chart. If it keeps going up at that rate throughout the day, it should hit the main chart.

  • AC

I’m kinda surprised at the big timespan between his single being released to Itunes today and when his album is actually going to be released.

Also, Jason, Brooke, and Michael all have singles/albums out that are all very 70s retro sounding so it’ll be interesting to see how it does.

  • CRB

I listened. From the vocals to the lyrics, it pretty much sucked. Good luck to you Jason. Let me add that I don’t suspect that the Brooke/Jason singer/songwriter-vibe Idol casting experiment will be repeated any time soon.

After the third listen I’d say that it is moderately catchy.

  • AC

Actually, I would say Brooke White’s album is really really good (and this is me responding in part to try out the reply function. haha)

  • Dr. Tracey

Definitely has a 70′s ‘Partridge Family’ vibe to it. Been there done that.

  • brie200

For the Jason crack people, he’s been getting some really nice messages from the various Idols and friends on Twitter. Danny Gokey, Mandisa, Syesha, Brooke. Heck, even Cory the warm up-guy. He also got a nice shout-out from Green River Ordinance, Cook’s tourmates, but they are also friends of Jason from back home. Plus of course Slezak, Cantiello, Rickey and all the Idol blogger types.

No comment from Archie today, but he commented back when the song first came out. As did Sligh.

  • brie200

Also meant to add, wasn’t Kris part of the Idol singer/songwriter experiment? You know, the guy that won S8? So why would Idol end the experiment. Those they have had that fit the mold tend to place high in competition. The only way Idol will be done with that is if they figure they have had their singer/songwriter type winner and will now move on to their next type.

  • suebrody

Jeez, I wanted to like this song…but I can’t. The whistling is bothering me and it’s just too cheesy (for me). Actually, it’s not what I expected at *all*. I was hoping for the Hallelujah vibe. Oh, well. But he didn’t forget the lyrics, ala Mr. Tambourine Man. (KIDDING!)

I hope Kris does *not* release a single like this. JMHO.

  • Studio57

Great comment about the singer/songwriters Brie. Jason and Kris have more in common than any other two idols I can remember- they both had a couple of really genius type performances mixed in with mediocre ones, they were both underdogs, and they both have done the Brother Iz performance of Over The Rainbow ( Kris’ was pre-idol).

Jason and Brooke opened the door for Kris, and believe it or not, Megan probably opened a door for the jazzy Winehouse types. Who knows what’s coming next.

  • Niall

Kudos to the poster who mentioned this sounding like something from a Brady Bunch movie. I’m sure his fans will powerbuy and move this up the iTunes chart to #1 but I think Atlantic is making a mistake releasing a lightweight, silly song as the first single. The guy is already perceived by the general public as a lightweight, mildly airheaded stoner dude. They should have released something to change that perception not reinforce it.

I’m pretty sure the only thing Jason and Kris have in common is they are both guys and both play the guitar. Kris would have done just fine even without Jason being a season ahead of him. That’s a pretty big stretch.

  • lifeisgood

I am a Jason fan but I agree with Niall “Atlantic is making a mistake releasing a lightweight, silly song as the first single. The guy is already perceived by the general public as a lightweight, mildly airheaded stoner dude. They should have released something to change that perception not reinforce it.”

I am very interested in his song with Serena Ryder – she doesn’t have a “fluff – cheesey” sound (listen to her Dark as the Black). I like his single enough to buy it but I am looking forward to hearing the rest of his album and hoping it isn’t filled with sickly sweet “I am so in love with Mandy” songs.

Also meant to add, wasn’t Kris part of the Idol singer/songwriter experiment? You know, the guy that won S8?

I would say that Kris sings a hell of a lot better than either Brooke or Castro but, of course, that is a matter of opinion.

The first thing I heard Kris sing was Man in the Mirror on the round of thirty six last year, sans guitar, and I picked him to win at that point based on “the package”. Unbeknownst, to me at that time he played instruments. David Cook is a songwriter too if you are going to just look at if somebody actually wrote songs. When I discuss singer/songwriter vibe contestants with respect to Idol I’m talking about a person with clearly below par vocal chops getting by in a “singing competition” with an instrument as a crutch …to me Kris didn’t fall into that category in the least.

  • Studio57

    He charted!

    #96- overall chart
    #29- pop chart

    Yeah Jason!

CRB- you’re right- it is just a matter of opinion. I’d take Jason over Kris anyday.

  • snuffles

Hey, I like the song. Makes me smile. I’m willing to bet it’s going to featured on one of those teen-oriented CW (like Gossip Girl or Beverly Hills 90210) shows this fall.

  • brie200

    CRB-

My point wasn’t about who sings better. That wasn’t the point. You made a comment lumping together the singer/songwriters. That lump, like him or not, includes Kris. Just because you prefer him to Jason or Brooke doesn’t make him into a different type of artist. Or if you think other singer/songwriters on Idol are using instruments as a crutch because they are below par vocally or what not.

Which is also interesting in the sense that Jason’s most acclaimed Idol performance (Hallelujah) was performed sans instruments, so obviously that wasn’t the only thing he had going for him. I’m trying to remember about Brooke, but she also had a solid week or two performing without instruments, but I can’t remember what. Love is a Battlefield maybe, which was my favorite performance from her.

Honestly, I think Atlantic just went with a song they thought they could get on the radio. As in get some people to pay attention to Jason’s existence and then go from there. I don’t really think they are playing to the Idol fans. Then again, from everything else I’ve heard the album is all over the place. Definitely isn’t all in the vein of the single.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I’d say he’s doing pretty well without a banner ad and considering a lot of fans probably pre-ordered and already downloaded the single. I’m hoping it goes for adds soon.

Also, to whomever thought it was odd to release a single so far in advance of an album, I think that’s normal. I heard Avril’s new song yesterday (didn’t like it) and I believe her album comes out around the same time as Jason’s does.

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

I really like it, it is so Jason and he so deserves to do well. I hope he does – if silly songs like Light On or My Life Would Suck or Crush can do so well then I certainly think that Jasons light and lovely song can do just as well

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

and and and if Jason can do even half as well as the silly songs of the Partridge family some have compared him to then I think that would be awesome. The world is so ready for a Jason Castro to bring us back to lighter happier days! Can you tell I am so happy for him and for all of us that love him.

  • Studio57

#89 ( STILL #29 ON POP CHARTS). Wonder if it will drop off after one day.

  • brie200

It might drop off that quickly Studio. The only way I think it’s going to stay without radio/tv promotion is if Atlantic buys a big ole ad and sticks it in the middle of the iTunes page. I’ve seen a little ad on iTunes, but it was on the Pop page.

Jason has been tweeting pics prior to his music vid shoot. He says wardrobe is set up in his living room, which makes me think it’s being shot in the vicinity of where Jason’s backyard so to speak (Venice Beach area?). There was a shot of the girl who will be in the video as well.

  • Studio57

Yeah, i think you’re right. I find it fascinating though. It’s interesting to watch, especially now with twitter and people trying to “street team” it through there. Watching AI pretty much since season 1, alot has changed on the web regarding music. Back in season 3, for example, people mostly bought CD’s in the stores or Amazon, OR illegally downloading. Now I would say the album i( CD) is dying and people are buying more stuff on Itunes.

  • Letitride

sumidol – yes it is the same girl

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I happily just bought my copy via MJs link. Everyone should use it.

Looks like he’s at #65 now. Wish he had an ad on the main page, though.

  • May

Just bought my copy! Even though it sounds like something out of the Partridge family, I still think it’s a cute and refreshing song.. in theory, it should do well on radio. It has a similar vibe to Jason Mraz’ “I’m yours”, which is a good thing. Go Jason!

  • Niall

He’s actually not doing as well as I figured he would do. If this is an example of what kind of casual fan interest he has, he’s going to be in trouble come album release time unless he has a major hit. If you were fairly popular on American Idol you shouldn’t need a giant banner ad on iTunes to at least chart in the Top 50. He’s doing better than Katharine McPhee did but that’s not saying too much. Atlantic better be prepared to shell out a ton of advertising money to convince people to pay attention to him because outside of his hardcore fanbase, which seems rather small, nobody is.

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

Niall, we are not little – we big :)

hey- how do you put up the little pics I see on some of these, PJ – too cute, you and Ace but how do you do that?

  • Studio57

I’m not worried yet for him. His single has not even been out 24 hours. I am so excited that he is working with the lead singer from OAR- he was talking on EW about how it might be his next single ( This Heart Of Mine). I love OAR and I have high hopes for that song.

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

Look at me, on here all day again. Only Jason can do that to me – where do you go to see where he is at on itunes?

  • uncgirl

Niall, your comments surprise me. I thought you were a Jason Castro fan. I guess I was wrong.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

sumidol, I think that avatar is left over from the Season 5 MJ’s site (pre-word press) when she had us linked to gravatar. I’m gonna have to update that. ;-)

Anyway, you can go to http://en.gravatar.com/ to make one.

I’m guessing that the new version of wordpress found my old gravatar. I forgot it even existed!

Niall, I’d argue the casual AI fan doesn’t follow the idols online. I wouldn’t have known Jason’s single was on iTunes yet if not for following Jason on Twitter and coming to MJs. I’m also guessing a lot of fans already downloaded it for free by pre-ordering a download of the CD. I didn’t pre-order because I want a physical CD. So, yes, I think a banner ad would help a lot.

As for McPhee, she was on those entertainment shows promoting her single.

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

Nevermind (even though I am pretty much talking to myself heh) I found it, in top 100 pop tunes Jason is at 23 right now, you go Jason

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

OH Pj – you answered me, thank you very much I didnt notice that.

  • uncgirl

I think you can compare singers all night in day, but in the end the only thing that matters is record sales. I think a major company like Atlantic ,that has been successful for years, has some sort of idea as to what they are doing. I actually think I would put more faith in them than a few posters here who might want to see Jason fail.

I actually like the single, which I have stated before. Is it my favorite from Jason, probably not, but I know he has quite a few great songs on his upcoming cd. It is all a matter of personal taste and I would choose Jason over Kris. Does that make me right? It does when it comes to my musical taste.

I don’t think it is fair to compare musicians, since they all release different material and it is a personal preference.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

    Sum, you are very welcome!

I also want to add that I don’t think any Idol who wants a lasting career in the music biz should count on an existing fanbase. Jason is at a particular disadvantage because superfans have moved on to Kris, Adam, Iraheta and maybe even Matt/Danny. They need to expand their base to include non-Idol fans. Hopefully, that’s what Atlantic is going to help Jason do. I guess time will tell.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I think Atlantic has moved past idol and they are looking to market Jason as a talented musician. I for one believe Jason is a talented musician and I don’t really care what happens to him in relation to other idols past or present.

  • Studio57

As of this morning, Jason has made the top 50 on the main music chart on itunes ( #21 on pop). I had to listen to the song in the car this morning after I dropped the kids off at school. The song is infectious and puts you in a good mood. I still wish they would have forgone the whistling and handclapping and stripped it down more, but it’s still a fun song.

  • babe

It’s at #45 now. I don’t care what others say about the single. I like it and I know he has better songs in the album so I think he’ll be fine.

  • Niall

Atlantic can only do so much. They can’t force people to buy his music. So he’ll get promotional opportunities warranted for a first time artist, and probably more because no doubt Kara will get him on AI, and he’ll sink or swim. I’m sure fans will want to blame Atlantic if it doesn’t go the way they want it to, but the “blame the label” stuff is reflexive and habitual in AI fandom.

  • uncgirl

I think Atlantic knows what they are doing. Retro is very big now. The guy who wrote the song is 20 something and he sings to a college crowd. I think he has an idea what the college students like.

I don’t think the kids will say he sounds like David Cassidy…I think they will say I like this song.

OK. This is horrible!! He sounds like he’s 12! What is going on with the production? And the song actually sounds like Disney to me. So, along with the pinched, nasally vocals, we’ve got a score to match. Wth?! This is crap, I’m quite sorry to say.

Carolinacharms, that’s a pretty deep voice for a 12 year old. My 12 year old doesn’t sound like that. Sorry you don’t like the song, I probably wouldn’t like every song you like either. I guess it’s not for everyone. I sure do like it and it looks like others do too, the numbers look good on the itunes charts.

Releasing an single 12 weeks ahead of album release is not bad if you are expecting a slow build up on the single and you hope it peaks right before the album drops. I seem to recall Archie released his first single right around now, end of August and Cook wasn’t far behind.

Normally it is a 6- 8 week window but that might be established vs new artist. And for some artists they are already releasing Single No. 2 before the album drops which is a very good thing.

I have to listen to this but I have to say the Cowsill Brady Bunch Partridge Family vibe is not promising.

My 12 year old either, my 13 year either for that matter – Now my 15 year old, his voice is deep and sounds as smooth and wonderful as Jasons sounds. With Jason, you like him or you dont that is just how it is. Well, not him personally, someone who wouldnt like a person like Jason wouldnt be a very nice person but not liking his voice or his songs – thats ok, we cannot all like the same music. I just have to disagree also on the fact that he sounds like a 12 year old child. My 12 year old also wouldnt be singing about falling in love again. I wonder, I had heard he broke up with Mandy awhile back and I just saw him with her on TMZ, I bet he wrote it for her, that IS the sweetest thing. Does anyone know anything about that, Brie????

sumidol, I have to agree with you about kids knowing the Partridge Family. I sat and watched quite a few episodes with my nieces and nephews this summer and they really enjoyed them. Retro can be fun and kids love it.

  • uncgirl

Jason didn’t write Let’s Fall In Love Again.

Does anyone know, if I download Jason’s single now will this affect the price of the album on itunes when it comes out later?

  • uncgirl

Hey Niall, I just read your comment that the general public perceives Jason as a lightweight and I was wondering where you got your information. Do you have some statistical facts that prove this or is this really just your opinion.

    OH thanks uncgirl

I am old enough to remember both Brady Bunch and Partridge Family in syndication, and I don’t get that vibe. I actually like the whistling, too, although I think that’s a fair criticism. I just think it’s a catchy tune that has a chance to do well on radio. I don’t think it’s the Most. Artistic. Song. Ever. But I wasn’t really expecting that. I like it. I bought it. Sounds like it’s holding steady on iTunes on day 2. I think if it gets picked up by radio, it will sell more. That’s the huge question mark here, as far as I’m concerned.

I’m really late to this party! Late to downloading too but I’m happy to see Jason at 42. Has he had any radio play?

  • uncgirl

4got, I know he has been played on candi95.com in College Station, TX and also on 103.7 sophie radio in San Diego. His song was also picked up by an Arkansas station and a Lansing station. He is on his way.

Yes, cricket, you’re supposed to get credited for all the singles cost toward the total cost when you buy the album.

Jason is now on the front page of the iTunes store under What’s Hot! He’s also at #37 under Top Songs. Go Jason!!

I’m a station jumper in my car. I guess I’ll have to stay put on Sophie, now.
