Jason Castro, traveling across the US on a mall tour,   is back in Dallas TX, tonight to   play a free show at the Grapevine Mills Mall @ 6pm tonight at 6 pm.

Yesterday, he was in Houston TX and stopped by the local FOX affiliate to chat and play his new single, “Let’s Fall in Love Again”.   Check it out, after the jump.

OH love Jason, they are playing this song locally – I have been requesting along with others for weeks and never caught it, so yesterday the radio station wrote me and said – HEY we HAVE been playing this every morning during Bob and Sheri program – yay, they played it special for me this morning -awwwwwww – I am such a dork

  • lifeisgood

I wish our stations here in Seattle would play Jason and Kris’ songs – hopefully soon – as well as Adams.

  • thebluemartini

I got to see Jason at the mall yesterday…I wasn’t much of a Jason fan when he was on Idol, but I’m all about supporting the Idols, so I went to see him at the mall anyway. His little set (only about 5 songs) was quite enjoyable. I’ll try to upload my pics later.

MJ, the performance you have embedded ^^^ is Love Uncomprimised, which is actually my favorite song of his that I’ve heard so far. I like his single fine, but I love LU. Great interview, I didn’t know we could preorder his album at his website, so that’s good to know. Maybe it will get released if there is enough interest. It’s too bad Atlantic is the kind of label that holds music hostage. I’m waiting for Ryan Star’s new CD from them too, and that release has been postponed many times this year. Hope that doesn’t happen to Jason.

Thanks, thebluemartini. I’d love to see your pics!

  • LovelyLady

I really enjoyed the mall performance I went to. Very, very nice. He was so gracious & stayed for each and every fan afterward. Thanks for the video.

  • googletot

I also saw Jason at one of the malls last month, and he’s such a likable young man. He sang for 1/2 hour, allowed photos with everybody, some went up on the stage with him, autographed for people and sold lots of T-shirts and calendars. I hope the radio picks up on his songs.

  • justantonio

I would guess Love uncompromised will be his next single if he is playing it on T.v.

“”I wish our stations here in Seattle would play Jason and Kris’ songs ‘“ hopefully soon ‘“ as well as Adams.”"

Oh, they played TFM for the first time today but they said they did not have access to FYE yet? They told me this yesterday when I asked for both of those songs to be played

  • justantonio

his very first performance of this song at the flytrap music hall was the best version he has ever done. If you read this Jason..go back to singing it like this:

For an artist whose “popularity” is/was largely based on the fact that many young women aged 1X to 3X want/wanted to jump his bones, the announcement of his engagement was more than untimely. It was stupid, stupid, stupid.

  • babe

That’s “Love Uncompromised”. Still one of my favorites. Though I didn’t like this performance that much. His voice sounded weak! It seemed like the engagement didn’t do him good. What the heck!!

  • ozarka

It’s interesting that Jason has not publicly talked about his engagement at all. He doesn’t mention it in this interview and he hasn’t mentioned it on Twitter even once. Jackie, Michael, and his parents have not twittered about it either.

  • pottymouth

I have no freaking clue why that kid can makes me smile like a “giddy kiddo” but he just does! I could care less that he is engaged. Actually I think it makes him even more freaking cute. Men are always a hoot when they are in love!!Can’t wait for his Cd,AND I’m actually really glad he moved it back to January. I’ll have something to help me through the winter blues that start to set in about that time! Dancing and singing to my favorite dread-boy! Yesssssss!

  • Grammie Kari

Well, my age group don’t mind a bit that Jason is engaged; however, waiting until Valentine’s Day may have been a better move. You know hoe young girls can be? LOL!

It’s so exciting seeing all this news about Jason’s music. I have had my favorites, but there’s always a special place in my heart for Jason Castro!

  • oceana

I can’t believe that Jason was at a nearby mall and I didn’t know about it in time to get there. He tweeted about it two hours in advance, silly guy! I was busy and couldn’t go with such short notice. Is there a list of malls he’s going to go to? Maybe he’ll come to another one, we have lots of malls in this area.

MJ has a link to all of the idols appearances. Look across the top of MJ’s home page. Their is a tab for “Idol Appearances”.

“”"For an artist whose ‘popularity’ is/was largely based on the fact that many young women aged 1X to 3X want/wanted to jump his bones, the announcement of his engagement was more than untimely. It was stupid, stupid, stupid.”"”

THAT is soooooo far from the truth, I know most of the posters on just here are not teeny boppers and the only young girls that will be upset by his getting married are the ones who are slightly nuts and believe they can get access to him and get him to themselves. Only the nuts or crazy fans will be upset by his engagement. Most of his fans wish him well

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I agree with sumi! Only the creepy overinvested fans will give a crap about his engagement. Honestly, some people do like him for his voice. Believe it or not. ;-)

  • uncgirl

Yes I like his voice too and his talent overall. He has written some really great songs.

  • brie200

Me three on the fact that nobody outside of creepy overinvested fans will care that he’s engaged. If they didn’t already know he was heading that way anyway, than they are darn stupid! It’s like they have never listened to him talk about the gf and his future goals before. I know it’s hard to believe that people buy music for the music sometimes, but it happens. Not to mention women lust over married men all the time. Most of the world’s biggest sex symbols are married.

Mall shows, and shows in general, so also including Jingle Ball appearances for December all get listed on his official site @ http://www.jasoncastromusic.com. I wouldn’t wait for him to tweet about appearances because if he does it’s generally last minute. When things are announced they go on his site.
