The boy is certainly unafraid of the close up. I was a little afraid of the nostrils, though (and maybe of those very bushy brows). lol

I almost couldn’t watch the video (get that nose away from me, lol!), except that, as I said in the other thread, man, those blue eyes! They seem to be especially bright in the morning, eh? And yep, the white teeth, too.

I confess I haven’t listened to any Jason (of the Castro kind; the Mraz one has been monopolizing my player) music in a while (bad fan) but maybe once he gets some new music out, I’ll be very interested again.

Oh, he’s recording this afternoon! I’d like to hear more about that.

You know me…always on top of Jason news (or non-news, lol). Not such a bad fan, after all, eh?

I think his vlogs are becoming more boring and pointless each time. I stopped it after 1 minute or less.

No his vlogs aren’t particularly informative, but I don’t think they ever were really. Only difference is then he was on tour so we got new Jason info everyday anyway. I think they are mostly at this point meant to be a touchpoint with his hardcore fans while he’s recording or doing whatever it is he’s doing.

I want news, but it’s not like I expect him to be busting with news along the lines of Cook and Archie at this point.

LOL, did he say it’s 8:26 and he has to be out of there by 8:50? And he just woke up? More power to him, I’d have no chance.

I love Jason, but he could use a list. If absolutely nothing has happened and he doesn’t have insight regarding the events of the day, I don’t see doing these so often. He’s cute, but 3:26 to get that he played bongos with his family at a 50th anniversary (actually, sounds like an awesome family–I wish mine sat around and sang songs together!) and he’s taking a flight and will record this pm?

I wonder when he can announce what he’s actually doing?

He shouldn’t make vblogs until he has news to dish. Seriously, who cares if he’s beautiful? (terrible, awful fan).

I think this is the normal way of Idol though. Have any of the non 19 Idols announced what they are doing? Minus MJ of course. Carly blogs and Brooke blogs and they don’t say anything outside of things like they are excited about their new music and hope to get it out there soon.

I just don’t see the big deal when I don’t see any other Idols saying anything of major news outside of the ones formerly mentioned. Have any of them announced their plans? He’s also not recording vlogs that often really. There was three weeks between this one and the last and he’s had fans whining the whole time about wanting a new one.

But losing interest is also the way this Idol thing goes. For some interest will be renewed when there is new music and etc.

If it makes anyone feel better, we should be getting the full length version of Hallelujah soon. Or at least the one he recorded for the movie. You can see the website for the movie here.

I think the blogs are just Jason’s way of getting his fans to keep him in mind until he actually does have news to announce. He’s also trying to keep their interest stirred up by continually reminding us that “somethingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  is happening, but he can’t say what just yet. Unfortunately for Jason his laid back style and attitude have a way of burying any sense of suspense amongst the minutiae of the mundane.

If I were that cute, I’d be blogging all the time too.

I wasn’t a fan during the show, but he grew on me during the tour. I’m definitely looking forward to an album from him.

I think what he’s doing is what other idols have done before him, keeps telling things like “meeting people” “solidify a few things” “need to make difficult decisions”… all these are no news but make the fans believe there will be something. It’s like this for days, weeks and when you notice there’s a new Idol season and he’s still solidifying those difficult decisions.
IMO, some fans are still expecting news on a label contract and that’s what he (and I think Carly too) wants the fans to keep believing. But at this point isn’t it a bit too late for any news on that side?
I just thing there’s not a something here.

Whatever something is or whether or not he signs a contract, there is still a “something” in terms of new music. Jason hasn’t actually hinted to whether he’s signing a deal, though that’s of course what most imply. He’s obviously been spending tons of time in the recording studio with various people, so there will be music. He can release that on his own if he so chooses to.

But why would it be too late? I have no idea what Jason is up to and I’m not saying he has plans on signing some sort of major deal nor do I even think he’s the type who should be signing a major deal (better off with an indie), but I think it’s a bit unfair to expect him to be keeping up with Cook and Archie who have had their paths mapped out for them by 19.

In reality it’s only been maybe a month and a half since end of tour.

I don’t think it is too late either. Look at Melinda Doolittle or Jennifer Hudson. Their CD’s came (or are coming out) much later than their seasons. I never watched AI before David Cook so I can’t pinpoint other examples, but I am sure that there are some.

This fan is very happy that Jason made and posted a new vlog. The last one was back on October 7th. He doesn’t have internet access most of the time when he’s in LA. This vlog was greatly appreciated by me.

I don’t expect him to divulge much info at this point. I went through this with Elliott. People were making their very wrong predictions about him too. Soon after he was eliminated, he said that he would put out a CD in the spring of 2007 and I believed him. Some people had months of hand wringing and negative comments that nothing was going to happen for him or he would have announced it. When he announced his publishing deal in January 2007 and announced his indie deal afterwards, some people were dismissive and negative about both. Turns out, working on and waiting for the deal that he wanted paid off big time. 50% was sweet. (It was released March 21, 2007)

I had faith in Elliott and I have faith in Jason. No point of speaking about specifics when they have not yet been finalized. He has been in LA writing and recording. Elliott said we would get music. We did. Jason said we will get music. I see no reason to think we won’t. Actually, I hope that he is working on getting a publishing deal first. He posted on his MySpace (in the about me section) months ago that he would have a CD out winter or spring. I see no reason to doubt him.
