ETA: Jason Aldean Makes a Statement!

September 30, 2012Hey Guys – I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites.

The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys.

I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.

Here’s a typically salacious item from TMZ. Jason Aldean was “caught” in a bar making out with Season 11 American Idol Hollywood contestant Brittany Kerr.

Brittany was the NBA cheerleader with the so-so voice who was put through to Hollywood through the Savannah auditions. TMZ has written about her before. She was advanced mostly for her super-hotness.

Country music superstar Jason Aldean got up close and personal with a former “A.I” contestant … right in the open at a very public bar on the Sunset Strip. There’s just one problem … he’s married to another woman.

TMZ obtained photos of Jason and Season 11 “A.I” contender Brittany Kerr taken on the crowded bar patio area at The Den on Wednesday night — frequented by locals and tourists always on the hunt for celebrities.

In the photos Aldean and Kerr get very flirty … hugging, touching each other and at one point it appears Aldean goes in for a kiss.

Aldean — who performed this weekend in So Cal — eventually left the bar in a cab without Brittany.

Heres the rub, Aldean is married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, who he tied the knot with back in 2001 and they have 2 kids together.

We reached out to Aldean for comment several times but have not heard back. No comment from Kerr either.

I’m not sure that grainy photo proves anything. But, whatevs.

    I really don’t understand why a person stays married if they are unhappy or want to fool around on a consistent basis.

     For the kids? Pleeeease. As a kid of divorced parents who stayed together way too long “for us” – I’d say you are doing them no favors. Money? Really? Aldean is making plenty of money. Being seen as a family man? Okay- well, as a fan, I’d much rather have my idol do the right thing and be honest.

    Seriously. Just bite the bullet, say you’re unhappy and get a divorce. Then you can go out and do this kind of thing all the time with no worries. This is really the responsible, honorable way to do things.

    Well, I’d argue that being a “responsible and honorable” father includes not draping oneself over someone else in public even if one has finalized a divorce recently, as it is still confusing and hurtful to one’s kids, but other than that, cosign.

    Jason is from the South and married his high school sweetheart. Don’t mean to generalize or stereotype but he could be staying with her (even though it does seem like he is unhappy) because maybe his family (ie  parents, sisters, friends) want him to stay with her and that’s the thing to do. “Thing” meaning you marry your first serious gf/high school sweetheart.

    Brittany Kerr apparently this isn’t her first time messing around with someone in a relationship. During spoilers last season for AI…there was “dirt” on her kinda. People calling her  a “slut” and “whore” on gossip sites for her and her cheerleading squad. I think it was The Dirty?

    I totally agree, that fourth picture looks to me like they are in a relationship. I don’t see a man who’s simply flirting with a random woman, I see a man who’s holding a woman he knows and care about.

    People can call Brittany anything they want, but it still doesn’t justify what Jason did. He’s a grown man who’s married with kids, either get a divorce or keep his zipper shut.

    Oh, I agree. I’m just saying that this isn’t the first time Brittany done something like this. She’s involved too so I’m just giving some “gossip” on her  that was happening during spoilers for AI11.
