People Magazine had the exclusive on James Durbin’s New Year’s Eve wedding to long-time love, Heidi Lowe.  The wedding photos are featured in the lastest issue of the magazine.

Now, People brings an exclusive video of the nuptials, that include the happy couple being pronounced husband and wife.  As the newly married couple head down the aisle, James scoops up their 2-year old son (and ring bearer!) Hunter.

“This wedding was the perfect way to kick off the New Year. We are looking forward to living happily ever after,” the couple told People.

Gaaaaah! This makes me laugh so hard – in a good way. Who else would carry light sabers along with the rest of the guests? hahahaha – James and Heidi do have a sense of humor. I loved seeing Stefano there, wish we could have seen Haley and Casey too. What fun. Glad they seemed to enjoy their special day.

Man, I hope People paid them big bucks for blocking  people from taking pics and video of their wedding. Because that is the crappiest wedding video I’ve ever seen. What a disappointment.

Congrats to the happy couple-it looked like a fun wedding-I wish we could of seen more of Hunter-He probably stole the show with him all dressed up in a tux!

did they block cams to do this?????

I think even Hunter could have done a better video than this.

If this was a professional video, shot by People Magazine, they owe this beautiful couple a letter of apology and a big, fat check for making it so amateur.  Geez.  I’m hoping there is other video out there,  That said though, I loved seeing it and they are simply adorable!  I was surprised that Heidi was 8 years older than James…was that a typo?

Whoever took the video misspelled his name as Durban on the caption, so I’m thinking it’s not People.

    whoops double post

I cracked up at the sabers too.  Haha.  Yep, the video wasn’t the best quality but James and Heidi looked happy and Hedi looked gorgeous!

Congrats to the happy family!  :)

No, Heidi is that much older than James.  I think that she babysat him at one point when he was little.  lol

I love it – this was a fun celebration of their love and commitment to each other with only family and a few friends invited to share it with them. The sabers – too cute!  It reminds me of a video (I’m sure more than one) of a wedding where the attendants danced down the aisle, doing cartwheels or whatever their dancing style was. Just. Plain. Fun. It was James!

Edit: I do hope we eventually see a picture of little Hunter, and a YouTube by mamadurbin of songs at the reception.

Haha, Desdemona, the wedding entry with the attendants dancing down the aisle came instantly to my mind, too.

I think it’s great that James and Heidi chose to have their wedding how they like it – after all, it’s their day and it’s a joyous ceremony, and who says everything has to be stiff and serious. After reading through the media thread, I wonder if the light sabres would make it on the morally unacceptable list of the “devout” christians. ;)

I love it.  I hate stuffy weddings!

Heidi is 9 years older than James her bday is in Feb. I think their Mom’s were friend when James was 4 and Heidi was 13. They met up again when they were older. It so happens that this is the age difference between my parents -my Mom is 9 yrs older than my Dad … it happens and for some,  like my parents, it works :)

Women live longer than men…8 years I think.  James and Heidi will come out even in the end.  The old romantic notion that the man should be a couple of years older makes no sense.

congratulation James. his son is so adorable and his wife is beautiful.
best wishes to his album as well

Absolutely! I think that so many times, it’s the parents of the bride or the groom that insist on a formal,  huge wedding with every tiny little detail planned by the book.  It’s like they’re the ones who need  to make sure their kids have a bigger and better wedding than any of their friends did.

James and Heidi’s wedding showed their fun and creative sides.  :)

That looks like it was one fun wedding. Much more suited to them than some stuffy formal affair.
The wedding photos up on facebook really look like they had a blast!
    Congrats!

Glad someone posted the real wedding pictures. Looks like a great, fun, loving wedding. Looks like everyone was having a good time and that the way weddings should be, a celebration, IMO. Congrates to Heidi and James

Such awesome pictures!  The church was so beautiful and quaint.  Hunter was just adorable! ………..and such awesome pics of the AI alum with James and Heidi.  The one of Heidi and Haley is particularly beautiful.
