Idols In Concert – Stats – 07/23/15

Summer is in full swing full of festivals, arena tours and the American Idol Live concert (for which this thread topic was originally created). The biggest result this week was from Coachella – that renowned festival in the valley sold 198K tickets which brought in $84M in revenue. I wonder how much more they made at the merch festival. Nobody I recognized from our blog was there.

But, Voice contestants did make their way onto the also huge Stagecoach Festival. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were two of the headliners, but Cassadee Pope and The Swon Brothers were also there for a coll $22M in ticket sales.

Lots of results from country acts. Chase Rice from Survivor opened three shows for Kenny Chesney while American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery opened for Rascal Flatts. For two of those five concerts, the Voice’s RaeLynn was the first opener. She also participated in a radio concert in Boston.

Finally, we have the Idols at the Ryman in Nashville. Long gone are the days when the Tour would have been one of the larger events reported. Here is how they traditionally did in Nashville:
Season 12: 2,469 of 3,176 $137,755
Season 11: 7,249 of 7,934 $400,179
Season 10: 13,192 of 13,192 $676,020
Season 6: 5,720 of 9,560 $363,742
Season 5: 12,889 of 14,345 $675,515
Season 3: 3,027 of 6,316 $141,863
Season 1: 5,790 of 11,668 $188,008
