With last week’s report being delayed, we have double the reports this week. It actually feels like quadruple the reports because there is a lot of touring going on from the shows we follow here at MJs. Carly Rae Jepsen continues to open for the sold-out Justin Bieber tour. Carrie Underwood is touring with Hunter Hayes opening and she is really selling those tickets. One Direction did a one-off with Big Time Rush. The kids from So You Think You Can Dance are touring (they don’t bring in the numbers the Idol tour normally does, but they do better than the other reality shows can manage). Scotty continues to open for Brad Paisley and Kelly Clarkson is touring with the Fray.

“16. Don’t Rush (feat. Vince Gill) – Kelly Clarkson”

Sales of this song seem to be doing well, without any boost from radioplay yet.

“27. Dream On (The Voice Performance) – Amanda Brown”

Nice to see Amanda’s song continuing to sell well.

I’m impressed by Good Time’s longevity. For an obviously fluffy summer single that charted in late June, it’s had real legs. I don’t get why it didn’t help with album sales, though.

And Home beat my estimate for #1 on AAA, which I guess means the Mayan apocalypse will be early. Sorry, civilization. It’s been fun.

  • Hazehel

Many The Voice contestants on the iTunes chart, but didn’t they used to hit #1 in season 1?  I don’t keep an eye on The Voice, but are they doing worse than past seasons?

  • girlygirltoo

well it’s not official until the published chart comes out on Sunday, so maybe that will stave off the end of the world for a little while longer? :)

Not that this is a big surprise, but it’s still sad to see something so close-minded: I would have hoped the paper would have at least made the writer listen to the music before writing this piece, but evidently, the editor (or whoever) didn’t care:
