    A month and a few days after it’s official adds date GGG has sailed smoothly past 10K of AI a week, and seems to be ready to be taken to another level.
    Interestingly enough, it’s HAC & i-tunes positions are very close to positions Home was in when it was first aired during Olympics telecast.

    Although GGG clearly has a whole lot more of momentum, since it has a bullet almost twice as large then Home’s was at the time, bigger AI and needed less time on the chart to get there.

    Meanwhile a relatively small discount that i-tunes is giving to the Standard addition of the album (it is available for 7.99) seems to have encouraged some folks to check it out.
    The regular addition of the album has moved up ~150 places (it was in 200s on Monday).
    And subjected to new curios ears 2 singles from the standard addition seem to be rapidly rising.

    A nice pallet cleanse for us chart geeks before the main dish of Idol performance tomorrow. %)

    Considering Olympic coverage played a part of it only three times, I am very curious to see what the impact of American Idol playing it every week at elimination. It is not just how many times how many people heard it. I think both songs are great IMHO, both convey good feelings and upbeat. But, some people may prefer association with Fave Five rather than “a talent show”. On the other hand, Phillip already has a track record, so radio station is more willing to play it compared to complete new comer.

    In any event, thank you American Idol (and Phillip-Jimmy) for giving me something fun to watch and track. And thank you ladies and gents for collecting and posting numbers everyday.
