“I said there were people who went to the show that had seen him on CA. Neither you or myself have any clue why any of the people went to his show.”

    But you actually stated this:

“ At a couple of his concerts people from the crowd actually said they had come because they had seen him on CA.”

which indicates that these attendees came to the show due to Clay’s appearance on the CA. Are you now saying that is not correct? Regardless, t’s not unreasonable to think that some people who saw Clay on the CA went to see his show because of that appearance (self-promotion is a big reason why these celebs go on the show in the first place). The initial statement that was made by the other poster was that Clay had gained a lot (=”bevy”?) of fans from the CA. So, that claim plus your statement about people saying that they were there “because” of Clay’s CA appearance does suggest that some people decided to see Clay’s show for that reason. My point was that even with these “new” fans, the attendance at Clay’s shows was generally poor, so that these new fans hardly were able to compensate for a further loss of fans from Idol.

ETA: Also, there are people at Clay’s shows who were “dragged” there. lol
