Jordin became hip with the teens because of Chris Brown (No Air) and Jesse McCartney (Concerts). Her Tattoo wasnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t selling well, then when Chris Brown entered into her life, Tattoo skyrocketed into fame and people started liking it.

By the time “No Air” was released, Tattoo was already popular, selling platinum and practically single-handly carrying Jordin’s album to gold. Of course, the success of No Air as well as the concert tours helped as well (as it should, it’s called “promotion”).

Who’s buying Carrie’s music???? Are there that many country fans?? I think there are more Country fans than rock fans.

I never listened to any of Carrie’s songs because I do not like country music.

If TOML is at 900,000 sales, based on my estimation and the decreasing number of sales of TOML. TOML will go platinum in about 10 weeks or around December this year if Cook is lucky.

Do music video sales count towards the Hot 100?

I’m pretty sure they don’t. BB only mentions the sales of singles, airplay and streams.

Do they count towards anything? Anybody know?

BB has a million charts. I would not be surprised to find that they have one for “Top Songs about Lawn Mowers”. They need one for YouTube videos. I know that’s where I go to check out new songs. Nevermind. You had a question.

I think the chart that tracks music videos is the Hot Videoclip Tracks, but that might be “airplay”.

Did you know they actually track “Video Sales – Recreational Sports” (top seller last week was “UFC 84: Ill Will”), “Top Kid Video” (yes, that’s the name of the chart…you go Ariel!) and “Top VHS Sales (who still sells those? “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” owns that category while “The Office” tops “Top DVD Sales” and “Top TV DVD Sales” ).

Anyway, the BB200 leaked, so I’ll be updating that.

Not that I’m aware of. There might be a lesser Billboard chart that includes it somehow… Kirsten may know. But I don’t think we ever get sales numbers for videos, especially since selling music videos is a fairly new practice.

If sales for Bucky’s CD continue to hold steady in the 1,500 – 1,600 range for the next month, he will outsell Kat. Yikes for Kat but Yay for Bucky.

From Idol Chatter:

Bucky held at 1,600 for a total of 367,000.

A sizable 100-sales club includes three who remained at the level: Katharine (total 373,000), Brooke (total 9,600) and Taylor (Early Works, total 3,400).

Jordin is the stealth AI winner. Her downloads are incredible. Very nice move for Archie. HDD overestimated Kristy’s numbers. Poor KLC, that’s got to be the worst opening week of any 19R signed artist.

I’m so happy for David. Crush is doing amazing. The 75% sales increase after seven weeks says it all – people like David’s music, not just the hard-core Archies, not just tweens and grannies. Remember when many people were saying the only reason he sold so well in week one was because of mass fan buying, and all the warnings that it wouldn’t last? I think even those naysayers have to admit they were wrong. Oh no, sorry, they are too busy making fun of his album cover now :rolleyes_wp:
