Not surprisingly, S5 kicked butt with S7 not far behind.

  • tinawina

More like S5 kicking butt, S1 & S2 on its heels, then S7 not far behind.

Were those the highest rated seasons?

  • May

Did seasons 1 and 2 have the same number of venues as the later seasons?

  • anijsch

    from pulse:

    JORDIN SPARKS – Battlefield = 42.420 ( 0.560)
    DAUGHTRY – No Surprise = 41.861 ( 0.608)
    DAVID COOK – Come Back To Me = 18.950 ( 0.116)
    KELLY CLARKSON – Already Gone = 4.121 ( 0.248)

Are those the airplay #s, Anijsch?

Those are mediabase AI numbers. The usual leaker is traveling today and won’t be getting out soundscan/billboard numbers until later.

I’m not sure if that is correct. There were fewer shows in S1 and S2 and the ticket prices were considerably cheaper (ticket prices are now almost double what they were). I don’t know if the number of tickets sold in S1 and S2 did better percentage-wise for the whole tour than S7, but in terms of total number of tickets sold and revenue grossed they certainly did much worse. Taking everything into consideration, I’d say S5 is the top, next S4 or S7, followed by S1 and S2, S6 next to bottom (although the much higher ticket price means that the revenue may be greater than S1 or S2), with S3 being the most unpopular and least profitable.

Sorry, was in a little bit of a hurry, should have looked more closely.

Wow, it took me forever to check this thread again. Sorry about that.

I was actually talking about the percentage of seats sold. On the numbers Kirsten posted, it looked like they sold more seats in their venues for the most part than season 7. But I’m sure your analysis is also correct.

Arggh. I hate it when we can’t get numbers until late in the day or week. I know that all of the numbers are by the grace of the leakers/sources, but I get used to having at least some numbers by now….

Not sure how to say which seasons did the best, other than that Season 5 kicked ass on the tour, and that it definitely looks like the least popular seasons (3 and 6) did the worst. It’s messier comparing the ones in between.

I’m surprised AI didn’t do another concert in Arkansas. Nice that Kris’s home town sold out.
