Just pre-ordered Haley’s fan bundle from her website…I feel like a better person now. =)

There could be a lot of reasons. If you look at amazon.com, you see the following rankings:

    Best Sellers in Music:

    # 15 – Adam Lambert – Trespassing (Deluxe edition) (price $11.99)
#114 – Kris Allen – Thank You Camellia  (price $8.59)
    #183 – Haley Reinhart – Blown Away (price $8.89)
    #380 – Adam Lambert – Trespassing (Standard edition) ($9.99)

Neither Kris nor Haley seem to have the deluxe versions of their albums available for purchase through amazon.com (though Kris does have a vinyl LP of TYC available for purchase), while Adam has both his standard and deluxe version on there. As you can see, the prices vary slightly, which also probably comes into play in terms of who is buying what.

I may be wrong, but it seems like Haley’s album just went up for pre-orders on iTunes the other day (that’s when I saw the snippets, anyway), while Adam and Kris have both had their albums up on there for a little while longer. Also, does Haley have a deluxe version available on iTunes, or just the standard version? Both guys have a deluxe and standard album available for sale on there. As with amazon, I think the prices for these downloads might be slightly different for each artist.

Also, all 3 of these people have various versions of their upcoming album available for purchase on their own websites. The fan editions with all the various bells & whistles (other than just bonus tracks) are, I believe, only available through their official websites. A lot of the most hardcore fans are likely buying these fancy schmancy pckages, rather than (or perhaps in addition to), simply ordering through amazon or iTunes.

Not to mention, they all have other places where you can order the album (for example, I know Kris has his album available for pre-order at Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy & Barnes & Noble. I would assume Adam’s and Haley’s albums are also available on at least some of these stores’ sites).

Anyway, this is just a long winded way of saying that there are so many different places to pre-order an album these days that rankings on any particular site probably don’t mean much in terms of the overall sales for the artists.

It looks like most of the country Idols got a boost in album sales this week. Do you think that is in reaction to Carrie’s album being released — sort of a trickle down effect?

Here is the one day sales report from Pulse.

    TWO DIVAS: ONE THRONE

Looks Like It Could Be Carrie vs. Adele for #1 on
    Post-Mother’s Day Chart

Mother’s Day is turning out to be a
mother of a battle between a pair of pop divas.

It may be a little too early to say,
but it’s sure looking like a tussle for #1 next week between 19/Arista
Nashville country star Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away, this
    week’s chart-topper, and XL/Columbia perennial Adele, set
to go over 9 million sold in the U.S. for her Grammy-sweeping 21.

As always, we’ll have a clearer
picture tomorrow, but none of this week’s debuts will have a shot t the to
    spot.

Dangerbird L.A. Silver Lake indie rockers Silversun Pickups’
third studio album, Neck of the Woods, will be the top newcomer, with an
estimated total of 35-40k, which would compare favorably to the 43k they scored
in April, ’09 with Swoon, which went on to sell a robust 318k. The band
performed on the Jimmy Kimmel Live outdoor stage last night. The band received
a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2009.

    Grammy-nominated Atlantic
    R&B singer-songwriter Tank’s This Is How I Feel, featuring
collaborations with T.I., Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes, is
on target for a 25-30k first week. The album, his fifth, is the follow-up to
his 2010 label debut, Now or Never, which debuted with 44k in Dec. 2010.
Tank’s collaboration on Chris Brown’s “Take My Time” earned him a nomination at
last year’s Grammys in the “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with
Vocals” category, which joined his eight career nominations to date. In
addition to his own music, Tank has contributed vocals and helped pen hit
records for the likes of Jamie Foxx, Keri Hilson and Chris Brown.

    Veteran Interscope U.K.
popmeisters Keane’s fourth studio album, Strangeland, their first
since 2008’s Perfect Symmetry, looks to be in the 17-20k range, about
half the total of the previous album’s 43.5k.

Epic viral sensations and SNL hip-pop duo Karmin’s
debut, Hello, is also looking at 17-20k in first-week sales on the heels
of the Top 5 dance hit, “Brokenhearted.”

    Columbia gospel duo Mary Mary’s
seventh album, Go Get It, looks to be in the 12-15k range, off from last
year’s Something Big, which debuted with 42k in sales. The two
introduced the title track on the final episode of their new reality TV series.

Album sales were up 7% vs. last
week, down 7% vs. same week last year and down 1% year to date.

Track sales were flat vs. last week,
up 6% vs. same week last year and up 7% year to date.

TEA sales were up 4% vs. last week,
down 4% vs. same week last year and up 1% year to date.

Yes, Haley only has the deluxe version on iTunes, it’s why is higher there than in Amazon where it’s only the regular. And you mistyped there, its “Listen Up!”.
And also I hope people here mentioning it are at least checking it out and buying it, after hearing the previews.

Scotty’s album is listed at the top of the page.  He sold 6,000 albums, and came in at #70 on the Billboard top 200.
