    RaeLynn scores 2nd Highest Debut

Once again we see TV impactng sales chart numbers this week as The Voice’s RaeLynn (from Team Blake), scored a strong #36 debut with her take on Maroon 5’s pop hit “Wake Up Call.” It’s a strong indicator that the singer has a career waiting for her in country if she doesn’t win the show (and thus joining Idol artists). Her song scored the second-highest debut this week and was surrounded by Gloriana’s “(Kissed You) Good Night,” Hunter Hayes rising single “Wanted” (sales are out-pacing radio airplay so far) and Rascal Flatts’ debut of the album track “Let It Hurt.” Lee Brice’s “I Drove Your Truck” debuted at #51 while The Band Perry’s “Post Cards From Paris,” slinks up the charts. Toby Keith’s “Beers Ago,” his latest single” also made its way up the charts.

There aren’t many new and noteworthy singles to make high debuts this coming week but we’ll be sure to keep you covered with the Top 30 singles rundown. Have a great week!

Looks like Adele may make may a return to #1 on the BB200 next week.

    From HDD:

    One Day Sales:

With no new releases of note, Adele’s XL/Columbia album 21 has a shot at returning to #1 next week. We’d call it a comeback, but she’s never really been away, with the Grammy winner now approaching 9 million in sales since its release 14 months ago.

This would make the 24th time that 21 has topped the HITS Album Sales chart, tying the soundtracks from Purple Rain and Saturday Night Fever. Here are this week’s key debuts.

Veteran RCA R&B diva Monica’s new album, New Life, is looking at a debut of between 55-65k. Her last album, 2010′s Still Standing, did 184k when it was released on March 23 of that year.

Bonnie Raitt’s new album, Slipstream, her first indie release on her own Redwing label with distribution by RED, is on target for sales between 45-55k. It’s her first album in seven years, since 2005′s Souls Alike on Capitol, which did 50k back then.

Latin Bachata artist Prince Royce’s Phase II, on Sergio George and Gregory Elias’ boutique indie Top Stop Music label through Atlantic, is looking at first-week sales of 25-30k.

Counting Crows’ Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation), on their indie Collective Sounds label, is headed for 24-27k.

Atlantic Records Pennsylvania rockers Halestorm’s sophomore album, The Strange Case of…, looks to land in the 18-21k range.

In its first week in physical release, second overall, ATO’s Alabama Shakes album, Boys & Girls, should do between 17-22k, for a nice two-week total of nearly 50k.

A pair of rappers, Jewish hip-hopper Hoodie Allen and Christian hip-hop artist Trip Lee are currently #1 and #3, respectively, on the iTunes chart, with self-released projects. We’ll relay our information on those two titles as soon as our crack (-addled) retail team is able to get someone on the phone.

Meanwhile, album sales were up 4% vs. last week, up 9% vs. same week last year (which wasn’t Easter) and up 1% year to date.

Track sales were up 9% vs. last week, up 26% vs. same week last year and up 8% year to date.

TEA sales were up 5% vs. last week, up 14% vs. same week last year and up 3% year to date.

With Easter two weeks later last year, at least some of the gains this week are likely to be lost by the end of the month.

This seemed to fit here, because it just seems to go with the good day in McCreery land…Scotty just started his first varsity game, a 16-0 win with 6 strikeouts:))))

This young man is having a helluva year!  And it seems a helluva time too, excelling in music and sports.

Wow. Did Casey James fall off the album chart totally?

  • aidancash1

No I think he was missed. He is still close to where he has been for awhile and lauren have been exchanging places

WTMX (Chicago) just played TVOL. It was part of their “UMix It” show, but still, “yay” :)

I  hope Kris starts moving up on Itunes if the video is getting that many hits.
His appearance on AI next week should help the single too.

After watching the BTIKM video accumulate views like crazy, I have decided they don’t mean much for sales.  Still nice to see views go up.   I really like TVOL video and have been to watch it several times myself so some of those views are mine.  I think it is his best video and I liked the other two also.  On a side note, Bieber, Gaga, KP etc. have hundreds of millions of views.  I don’t see how that is even possible.
