Oh lord why oh why did I come back to check on this. Okay for the record Undecided, I can no more undermine anyone's career with the sheer will of my words, any more than you can turn 10,000 into 12,000. And those ticketbooth clerks are totally reliable aren't they? You should indeed learn the definition of fact and exaggeration. I said his record sales and ticket sales have declined. That is a fact. Saying otherwise will not change that fact. Why is it that in order to boost someone up does another have to be denigrated. Who was talking about Daughtry?

Pj, to show how cool I am, I will not undermine Daughtry just to goad you because you think my darling Ruben is boring, lol. Guess why? Because you are entitled to your opinion, and it won't undermine his talent one bit. Maybe cost him a record sale, but such is life.

No problem, its your opinion. Now if I stated that Daughtry's career is down the tubes because he used to tour solo but now he's doing so bad that he's just an opening act. That would be misstating the truth and deliberately trying to make it sound like they are a failure. Which isn't the case, but it could be spun that way.

I may not like something about another artistà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s song choices, appearance or performance and I may express that opinion [unlikely] but I would not engage in deliberately provocative misstatements to undermine an artists career.

You really think what's said here in comments is meant to undermine someone's career? Maybe, just maybe, it's an unbiased opinion? And you're just not likin' it. Besides, do you really think this comment section has that power?

Personally, I find Clay boring as shiz. Ruben too. Hope I'm not undermining their careers by admitting that.

Observations and opinions are one thing. Misrepresenting facts is entirely another.

I canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t help wondering why its so important to you to undermine his success.

Reminder: This isn't a fanboard here. People are allowed to make negative observations without posters calling them out or questioning their motives.

abbysee, the sporting event that was followed by Clay's concert was Frisco TX and that arena holds 21,000. Many venues don't report to pollstar so the ticket sales can't be tracked.

At Columbus OH, July 21 2007 the ticketbooth reported selling 10,000 when asked on the morning of the concert and yes he was the sole performer.

I'm not in the habit of exaggerating or lying, so it does seem rather silly to insist that I'm telling the TRUTH. I can't help wondering why its so important to you to undermine his success.

Undecided everytime I post a sentence about Clay it's like blood in the water to a shark. I stand by what I say and the numbers bear it out. And when was the last time he filled a venue as large as 12,000 alone. Not before a sporting event, etc. All in all my comment simply stated the fact that his numbers in concerts and ticket sales have declined. Truth.

I hadn't heard the song Kim Locke sang before. I founded the performance to be ... um ... interesting, but it seemed as though the song was very, very, very long. The bustline of the dress was horrible. The designer made it for her and he should have done a better job with the bustline.

Odd, no one has mentioned Kim Lockes performance. The song she sang has been a hit for several weeks on country radio by a man and I like his version better. His version has some high notes in it, hers more monotone. I didnt like her hair or her dress. I think she has a great voice but didnt do herself any good wed. night. imo.

Paula had those fingerless black gloves or some like them back in Season 5. There is a picture of her reaching up and holding Taylor's face in her hands while he smiles down at her and she's wearing those gloves. It's a great picture and I wish I knew how to bring it over from my favorites but my talents do not include much computer technology. I think it was the top 24 of season 5. Maybe she's like me,as I keep all jewelry, scarfs, and other accessories as they always come back in style if you wait long enough or you can wear them when you feel like it even if their not in vogue.

I agree MJ, but the problem with that is look what happens afterà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦..while Clay got off to an excellent start, staying power ebbed somewhat quickly, and he is now not filling the smaller theaters he once packed. Taylor can fill the the smaller houses, but just like Clay radio he canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t get a toehold. I just donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t think ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s the demographics that they want or need.

This is somewhat skewed and an unfair. Clay's Christmas concerts take place in performing arts centers with orchestra. They are deliberately intimate settings.

The summer pop concerts are larger venues including some very large amphitheaters, some of which had crowds in the 12,000 range.

Comparing Clay's 4th annual Christmas tour and Taylor's first pop tour, fresh off of Idol, is misleading. Clay sold out the same venue last summer that Taylor had to cancel due to lack of sales.

Clay has already had 9 successful tours. Not one of the other Idols, including Kelly has done that.

LOL, I call him Archie, too.

From the EW On the Scene link:

Jason's arrival on the couch was more of collapse à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬' right on top of KLC, who didn't seem to mind. After a quick pep talk by Nigel, the remaining eight brace themselves for the night's big moment. Jason, now calmed and facing reality, looks pensive and, dare I say, humbled, while Syesha and Chikezie seem stressed.

Rut roh - Ramiele shippers are gonna be upset. :laugh_tb: Maybe they'll find away to dispose of KLC and put us out of our misery.

Looks like Simon got the butt-kicking he wanted.
