‘X Factor’ Ratings Dip: Experts And Fans Weigh In – Despite all of its fancy new bells and whistles — namely new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato — “The X Factor” didn’t quite dominate the competition in its second season debut, as was expected. Instead, the show tied for first place with its direct competitor, “The Voice.” The ratings for the coveted 18-49 demographic read as follows: Fox took first place in ratings numbers for the demo, and second place in total viewers with 8.7 million. NBC came in second in ratings but first in total viewers with 9 million. On the whole, ratings for “X Factor” were down 23 percent from its season-one premiere. – Read more at MTV

Kelly Clarkson settles in Nashville, plays Bridgestone Arena – Every time the singer walks down the hall, she spots a famous neighbor she didn’t know she had, from rock guitarists to country superstars and big-time producers. “Every star known to man has a condo there,” Clarkson tells The Tennessean. “(Living there) is the first step of, ‘OK, I really like Nashville, but I don’t know where I want to live yet, so let’s live here for right now.’ And then everybody ends up getting a place.” – Read more at The Tennessean

Elise Testone tweets “Awesome photo shoot today w/Sully Sullivan http://instagr.am/p/Pinduct941/”

Carrie Underwood tweets, “Taking a break from rehearsals to cheese for the camera. Love this band! Love this tour! Prepare to be #BlownAway” Carrie’s tour begins in Manchester, NH tonight.

Catching Up with Kimberley Locke – Season 2’s top girl, Kimberley Locke, has a new song, a new music video, and an upcoming cooking show. I hopped on the phone with the versatile Idol alum to find out more about “Finally Free,” her thoughts on an American Idol judge, and more. “’Finally Free’ is finally out now on the radio. It was definitely a labor of love. The song was released through I AM Entertainment, and I collaborated with American Idol’s Ace Young on it. The inspiration behind ‘Finally Free’ is about breaking free from anything – whether it is a relationship or a job – and turning that corner. It’s the feeling you get when you’re no longer being held back.” Find out more about Kimberley and Ace’s collaboration with this video from last year. – Read more at American Idol

HOW THE HELL DID I MISS THIS

Glee’ premiere – Darren Criss and Lea Michele on Klaine fallout and Kurt’s move – Klaine fans, do you need a tissue? The “Glee” Season 4 premiere reunited partners in crime Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) in their beloved New York City, but unfortunately that came at the expense of separating Kurt and his boo Blaine (Darren Criss). It’s going to be tough going for the fan favorite couple, but Criss tells Zap2it that it’s not all bad news. “It’s tough for anybody when you’re in a relationship with somebody that’s founded upon being in the same place,” he tells Zap2it at the “Glee” Season 4 premiere party. “Once that changes, it gets very difficult because the foundation on which your relationship is built is now shifted. It’s tough for both parties; it’s tough for Blaine.” – Read more at Zap2it
