The iHeartRadio Album Release Party with Maroon 5 | CW, 8 ET/PT – There are two main ways you get to see recording artists perform in prime time these days. One is on an awards show, and the other is through what amounts to an hour-long commercial for the performer’s latest release — as with this special from Maroon 5. In between the plugs, you get a few songs and some interviews with the group about the making of the album. Oh, and fans of The Voice get to see Adam Levine, who seems to be one of the main reasons there are so many fans of The Voice. – Read more at USA Today

Exclusive: Kellie Pickler Teases Fifth Album, Talks Meeting Her Idols – “I’m working on my fifth album. I’m in the whole songwriting and song-picking process. We’re in the very early stages of working on it,” Pickler tells Billboard. “It’s always great to have new music out — to freshen up the set list, and it’s exciting for the country fans. They are always eager to have new music. “It’s interesting that when you’re working on an album, you pretty much live with it for the year that you’re working on it. Then you send it off for the copies to be made, and the artwork to be produced and distributed. That takes months. So you’ve lived with the album for almost a year before anyone hears it. Then, by the time it comes out, you’re ready for the next one, because you’re sung it a million times — but not for anyone outside of your circle.” – Read more at Billboard.com

Q&A: Jennifer Hudson On Lesbian Rumors & Drag Queen Attitude: ‘I Don’t Care What You Think’ – What do you think your career would be like without the gay community? I don’t know if I would have one, to be honest. That’s why I recently did a couple of gay clubs, and I wanted to do more because that’s where I started. I was just literally looking at old pictures a few minutes ago, and I saw a picture of me performing in a gay club and a picture of being dressed. Drag queens used to dress me, and then I would go and perform. That’s where I started, so there’s definitely a connection there. I wanted to make sure that I reconnected. – Read more at PrideSource

He’s looking for that magic formula that will put it over the top, a release on iTunes and plenty of radio play. As far as where he will live, his family is committed to staying in Carmel where his oldest daughter is enrolled in school. “I will travel as I need to, and my family will join me when they can, but we discussed it and we want to stay here,” he said. Kaufman said he hopes people continue to feel connected to his music. – Read more Current in Carmel

Gavin Rossdale Talks ‘The Voice’: ‘I’d Definitely Vote for Team Gwen!’ – “I was just sort of surprised I got asked!” he laughs. “It didn’t really come down to thinking about it. It’s clearly an incredible platform for people that make music, an incredible way to let people know what you’re up to, what you’re like. “[The Voice people] are great people to work with. When they first came to the house, to interview Gwen, I sat in on the meeting with her, just for support and a bit of vibe, and I was blown away by them… [So] when the opportunity came up, it really wasn’t anything to think about. It’s really good for anyone who’s interested in reaching people.” – See the Video at Yahoo.com
