The American Idols are in Orlando FL, home of Disney World, for a concert tonight. Last night 8 of the Top 10 were interviewed on stage at the theme park’s American Idol Experience Finale, according to a tweet from Attractions magazine.

Here’s a random photo via olivia_paige_s Phillip Phillips and Elise Testone  appear to be missing.

But to make up for it, Elise tweeted this awesome photo of “family”.

And NBC made the most of it, earning more high ratings with its Olympic TV coverage. The American squad including star Jordyn Wieber, who was earlier eliminated tearfully from the all-around competition, overpowered Russia and all other rivals to take its first team gold medal in the sport since the legendary “Magnificent Seven” in Atlanta in 1996.     A few country related websites love Rae Lynn, which surprised me.  These are respected sites, and I expected them to slam her vocal ability, but for some reason  the people who run them seem to think that she has potential.

    It’s like she’s the featured artist, instead of the main one. She’s almost just singing the chorus and nothing else.

    So Mariah Carey’s new single premiered. It’s basically a rap song (Rick Ross & Meek Mill) and Mariah is only singing the chorus. The song is up on Vevo.

    This seems to be happening with a lot of female artists. It’s okay to include rap on a song, but if the song belongs to the female vocalist, then she needs to be the one who takes on the bulk of the song, and the song should be about her. This is similar to what has happened on a few of Mariah’s songs, since she changed her style.

    Doubt it. Music Empowers received half of the amount raised, which would be $7500, not $15K. And then have to take into consideration that $15K total probably got reduced by whatever type of cut StageIt receives for hosting the show. And there were probably other expenses to cover as well.

    So it’s probably totally wrong that now I want a sit-com in which 4 mature tenors become the foster parents for 3 adorable teen classical singers, and hilarity ensues.

    Il Divolo! Like The Monkees meets 2-1/2 Men, only with opera.

    Nice gig for Haeley! I wonder if her role involves much singing. I remember her needing some vocal work. She seemed like a really sweet girl.

    Archie is on his mission.  He recorded before leaving and is releasing music while he’s gone.  See video in headlines.  This one is his fourth.  Archie’s album BEGIN. will be released 8/7, on preorder on itunes with download of original Broken.  He also released Forevermore in Asia which he also recorded before he left.  Song and music video for Rainbow is soon to be released.
